S.A. have made a sporting declaration. Hopefully W.A.set a target that gives both teams a chance on the last day.

I am getting a bit over these 'sporting declarations', they are cheapening the comp.

Yep, they should award 3 points for a 1st Innings, and 3 points for an outright. This losing on the 1st Innings and still getting total points for an outright just isn't right.

Warriors have the foot down, I suspect they may even declare before stumps and have a few overs at SA

W.A. 2/172

Marsh S 91 off of 126 balls at one stage he was striking at 20.04

cheers locky

Very fair declaration from W.A. the wicket still has plenty of runs in it. If Redbacks dont lose more than 1 wicket tonight they will be in the box seat.

And if SA wins, once again we will see a team get outplayed for 3 days and then get the chocolates.

So, AH, by your definition this is a very, very, soft declaration.

The points system has been the same for many years now. All that has happened is that captains are coming to terms with a risk/reward strategy.

Why are you so negative to these declarations? The captains are trying get the maximum points for their team not playing for boring draws.

Your mentality is so English, No, we won't go for the win as we already have 2 points from this game.
