Good work Brod
Should be some good bashing expected
Imagine Gayle and Ronchi batting together
Vics look strong in the batting and have Nannes back to help the bowling

Andrew Roy Symonds is back, lets hope he can produce
Mark Cleary who had a good season last year is back and about time

Its frightening to think of what WA can achieve if thier awesome but MOODY batting line up fires up

Will watch the entertaining 20/20 despite what it might be doing to cricket in general

Looking forward to seeing Tom Cooper in action
And of course Boom Boom Birt

Game 1 tonight
VI $1-70
QL $2-10
On paper VI should azoontatite the QL team
But these bananboys , keep surprising me

A game on Fox every night over the next week can't argue with that.

You know, I actually love the T20 Big Bash, it's really exciting! :D

Good crowds, good weather, people on holidays, lots of exciting imports, it's good stuff.

Vic once again the team to beat, Ross Taylor is a great recruit.

Queensland off to a flier, unbelievable start. Great catch by Harseldine and Ryan Harris has 2 early ones, Rimmington bowled a brilliant over just before.

Hodge and D Huss out for quackers, Ross Taylor was dropped on 0 too.

Vics 3/5!

Pitch has a lot in it for the bowlers for once.

VI 8/157[20]
Sensational innings
Bowler friendly conditions
The best place to watch cricket these days is the Gabba
VI were 3/5
Then Rossco Boom Boom Taylor, my fav enzed batter creamed them
dropped on 0 by Simpson
TAYLOR 58[36] a beauty
MCDONALD 23[16]
BRAVO 36[18] sensational hitting by one of the worlds great allrounders
WADE 11*[6] a late cameo by a gem of a cricketer

Betting half time [Betfair odds]
VI $1-56
QL $2-62

And the shame is Taylor is only playing this game[maybe finals ]

VI should scrape in
The bowlers will be helped by the conditions
NANNES/MCKAY/BRAVO/MCDONALD/HASTINGS should get them home

Unwatchable. Move the front foot out of the way and smash the bowler over his head. Repeat. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

As Roger V once harmonised
""You better get used to it.""

And as the late Marc Hunter once harmonised
"" Its been raining.""

Yep 4 overs to go and the slogathon has been stopped due to inclement weather

QL 6/121
HOPES 22[15] exquisite innings
DUNK 18[11] slam dunk hit a big zac as well
ROY 16[14] AS DREAM once sang "" Things can only get better""
PHILLIPSON 33*[27] batting well
CUTTING 16 *[9] has had a slice of luck so far

At this stage it appears VI are in front on the eqautions on the Duckwotrh Lewis system

It would be a shame if its called off, as this game is evenly poised
36 off 24 balls needed

The only downside to this game is it should have started about 30 minutes later
That way I could watch Bonaza in entirity on foxtel 152

Duckworth Lewis has adjudicated a game [of sorts]
VI win this game by 3 runs
Why not share the points
QL didnt deserve to lose this
VI made enough runs becoz of the great efforts by thier imports BRAVO and TAYLOR
Meanwhile QL played the local talent
Crapp ending

Ross Taylor was signed up for this one game
He was signed up XMAS day for a one off appearance
It worked as he was clearly man of the match
It is believed Rossco is available for the prelim and grand finals

And just a bit of trivia
Rosscos girlfriends name is Victoria !

Great game
Shit ending

Not that I care greatly about what happens in T20 cricket, but I'd prefer to see the DL system/ruling done away with for this format. Just call it a draw.

Yeah, does nothing for me either but a lot of people seem to like it, so I guess we're in the minority. I was thinking today they could play a 20/20 game in the time it takes them to decide a referral in a Test match :)

Very much why some people cannot accept the truncated version as a legitimate form of cricket.

Doesn't matter who made the runs IMO or where they come from. Qld knew where they were at with the D/L Method and they couldn't get in front therefore did not deserve to win.

Taylor a great signing for the Vic's

QLD where made to pay for missed oppurtunities, especially Simpson dropping Taylor on 0.

Pup VI knew about being in front
NANNES got to the crease to deliver what would have been the last ball and pulled up and didnt bowl it, the umpires called the game off without another ball bowled
Had he bowled the ball and was hit for 4 I would then be complaing that VI didnt deserve to lose as well

As for QL knowing about D/L
at what stage were they aware the rain would come ?
2 overs b4
5 overs b4
start of innings
start of game
last week
last year

duckylewis works ok if one side is comprehensively tharshing thier opponents
but too often , as in tonights game, a winner was adjudicated when the game was clearly to close to predict the winner

A fairer result is to share the points
cricket is a contest not a charity

think its a bit rough to have a duckworth lewis system on a 20-20 game
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

i'll add i believe 5 overs constitutes a game  i agree if the game doesn't go the full distant it should be a draw & i think the same for one dayers as well...or finish it the next day
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway
