Pollard was a star in the T20 Champs League though, Afridi has had a pretty decent international career and that Gayle bloke went alright in the recent Test series.

Probably should not have retired in the first place. Also I think he is pigeon holed in the same manner as (well was) Michael Bevan and Justin Langer in reverse.

I have to agree. He should only play cricket where runs aren't as important as other forms of the game (ie, shield). Watching his hit and miss style is embarrassing. He looks like he's trying so hard, he's going to twang a hammy or something.
