LOL- for extra effect, play games during movember....

Back to topic- agree, great guernsey. Power, not Norf.

OK, its been a couple of months since I was informed of this, and it still makes me laugh, so I guess I should share it!

Rocked up at Blyth for cricket and a certain Josh Mahoney who plays cricket for us and B grade football for us was already there reading his mail, as he hadn't been home for a while. Anyway, Josh Mahoney is also a Power member and had received a letter from the Power's marketing people. This letter was informing Josh, "as a former premiership player", of the new strips the Power had come out with, and wondering if he would like one "to add to his collection". They weren't looking to mothball the current jumper "which you performed so admirably in, in our 2004 premiership", but would instead wear it for special occasions, ie Rivalry Round etc. :?

Did they really think that the Josh Mahoney who played for the Power had a post office box at Nantawarra? Obviously hadn't heard that he was assistant coach at Melbourne? And if they'd seen our Josh Mahoney play football, they would certainly know they had the wrong one! No offence Josh, but we do call him Slo-Mo! Or ironically Turbo, Usain, Dasher, etc. Anyway, I told Josh he most definitely should tell them that he would like a new guernsey, and see if they'll actually send one to the Nantawarra post box! Suffice to say, Josh was pretty stoked and has probably framed the bloody letter and hung it on a wall! I guess that's what you get when non-football people are involved in a football club. Still, made us all laugh. :D

That may explain why Port are in the red more than in the black...

Agreed. That poncy light blue colour should never appear on a football jumper.

Interesting tangent. As I recall your club were also keen to add it to the guernsey to get into the AFL.

That's history but your jumper is still gay.

I think it was Doc Clarkson who said about the accusation that Sturt players were handbaggers in the 60s and 70s.. "I think we must have carried bricks in those handbags".
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Now we just need hooped socks, as in the photoshopped player on the left.

FWIW, this is our clash strip at Para Hills.
