It is not the same as the cologne, it has less alcohol content, which makes it a bit less rough on freshly scraped skin.

Now Psyb, why am I not surprised you prefer less Alcohol content? ;)

C'mon, you are not paying attention! I've said before my favourite tipple is the green Chartreuse, and that 55% by volume.
The yellow and white versions are lower in alcohol but don't taste the same - the herbal mix is different.

I know nothing about aftershave but I remember my dad always used to ask for Blue Stratos for Fathers' Day.

Ironically, I find that CK isn't too bad - as an aftershave.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Aramis by Estee Lauder would be my favourite on a guy.

But I'd bet you guys have the same problem as us gals...a fragrance that smells gorgeous on one person can smell like cat pee on someone else. Only answer could be if you know what you like ask to try something similar or bite the bullet and try a few at the counter and risk walking round town smelling like a poofs parlour on a friday night

Armani and Hugo.

Question, I've got a couple that I've had for a while, how long do
they last?

I believe they all contain alcohol as an antiseptic and if there's enough it would also act as a preservative (sorry don't know how much would be need to be in it)
I think heat and light can affect the frangrance oils in it too so theorectially I'd think if it was kept in a cool, dark place it could last years.
