Looks like England have decided to go with Jones for the first test. Read not named in the 14 man team for the 3 day tour game against NSW.

NSW 1/186, Jaques 103* of 146 balls, the same three bowlers still above 5 an over...

Blue Baggers, 3/216 of 55.3 overs. Jaques 107 of 157 balls out to Giles, Giles has two and is winning the battle of the spinners wich is good as he is the a dart thrower compared to Panesar......

The last Pommy spinners to do any good out here were Embury and Edmonds in 86-87 when we were sh!t....

Looks like a pretty good performance by the England bowlers in the end to get the last 8 wickets for 160 odd runs. 3 Wickets to Harmison and some respectable bowling figures to all of their bowlers after Jaques took to them on the 1st Day.

Trescothick out again cheaply bowled Lee. If Cook can perform well, I wonder if they may open with Cook and Strauss in the First Test and play Bell at 3 and Collingwood at 5? Cook is an opener in County cricket isn't he?

England 1/95 With Struass (ominously) in the runs again with 50 not out and Cook not out 31. Not too sure about how good England's bowling was when you look at the RPO stat.

3.5 per over isn't too bad. Respectable considering they all pretty much went for 3 an over except Harmison, however, he got 3 wickets. England nudging 5 an over in their innings so far.
