Went out with a bang there, best round of the series with a $222 profit. Frosty & Scoob leading the way with the Valedictum placing.

In the end all kudos to Wedgie who brained us, just a bees dick under a 50% strike rate & a handsome $367 profit. Wedgie never missed collecting on any round, with his best result being a $176 placing.

Shoulda backed em son. Carton of Paleys on Sponsorship night ok?

Best single result was a $287 win to Grubby who also in round 6 took out the best round result with $319. Grubbys average winning price per selection was 15/2, topping all of us by a fair margin.

The comp as a whole ended up with a creditable 131 winning selections at an ave winning price of 4/1, 29% strike rate & a modest $269 loss after some nice results in the past week. Best week being Emirate Stakes day with a $222 profit, worst Caulfield Cup day with a $316 loss.

Thanks to all involved, as mentioned on page 1 I've been involved in comps of this nature on another website & a lot drop out when they've got no hope, to our credit everyone hung in till the last toss of the dice. Even our wooden spooner Punky who'd ring me with the reason he'd jump on a roughie to catch up just to justify his selection.

1st Wedgie
$367 profit. 26 wins ave winning price 13/4. 46% strike rate.

2nd Dutchy
$129 profit. 13 winners @ 11/2. 23% SR

3rd Mal
$28 profit. 21 winners @ 3/1. 37%SR

4th Another Grub
$6 loss. 8 winners @ 15/2. 14%SR
5th Frosty
$7 loss. 8 winners @ 6/1. 16% SR
6th Sheik Yerbouti
$102 loss. 14 winners @ 7/2. 25%SR
7th Scoob
$198 loss. 10 winners @ 4/1. 17%SR
8th Mad Dog Mike
$220 loss. 13 winners @ 3/1. 23%SR
9th Perce the Punter
$271 loss. 7 winners @ 7/2. 14%SR
10th Punk Rooster
$374 loss. 7 winners @ 11/4. 14%SR

So in the end congrats to Wedgie for being our inaugural Spring Comp Champ.

Quite outstanding actually with an ROI of 61.16%...to put that in perspective the pros are happy with a 15-20% ROI

To finish 3rd against website legends WEDGIE/DUTCHY was an honour.

Thanks Guys and a huge thanks to the Sheik for running it, definately been enjoyable and given me a reason to keep an eye on the Spring Racing Carnival.

Sheik, we'll organise another time for the carton of paleys as I might be going out afterwards on the Sponsors Night.

Yep, I echo everyone elses sentiments when I say thanks to Sheik for keeping an eye on the running of things.

Perhaps something similiar can be done in Autumn in Sydney.

Cheers
