They are a good bunch of guys doing their best to keep Wasleys going in very difficult circumstances. They never dropped their heads despite the result and that is to their credit. They belong in a lower division however, in my opinion.

There was literally no grass on the oval in very large patches and it was like playing on an ice skating rink Plenty of value for shots thats for sure..... Dust storms swept across the ground from the new subdivisions being built next door to the ground and when we were fielding the ground had a consistant haze of red dirt in the air.

Ponton tops the batting in grade three. Followed I believe by Steve Hunter. I think he would struggle in grade 1 without doubt. he lacks a decent defence. But against grade three bowlers he has done very well this year.

I believe last year he got a suspension around 8 games (or something along those lines) but 6 were suspended... then after he threatened one of our players in about round 7 (apparently, I wasn't there) he got 1 game for that, and then the other six that carried over from last season... or so I was told.

Must agree that most of the blokes from Wasleys seem like a good bunch... too bad for the one bad egg!

yes we are with the times i think some clubs still have windows 95 going through their club

Maybe other clubs are supporting their clubs and having a few bevvies with their team-mates.

Cmon LM you can do that and still put up the scores - no excuses for clubs that are affiliated with a SAAFL footy club as I am sure that football will let them borrow their computer or have some clubs sold them off to pay off debts/players ;)

Some teams (inc Div 1) still havent put their results up!

Angle Vale definetely will as they haven't even confirmed the scores, I'm not 100% sure on One Tree Hill, they may have extra time to enter the data, we don't risk it so I couldn't tell you for sure.

Is the plan of the association still to phase out the hard copy match reports and base everything on mycricket? I know this was the intention a few years ago.

Yes it was the plan to phase them out around Christmas, they are still 2 years away IMO, there is no way in hell they could do it for the juniors at the same time, the lower grade seniors are bad enough. Captains really need to sit down at the end of each match together and add ALL of the runs and agree on them. There are far too many discrepancies, sundries in paticular.
