Got the day off or working today?

Post by dedja »

With Australia Day on a Tuesday and school kids going back Wednesday (well the public ones anyway) this year who has taken the opportunity to have the day off today?

I've been on leave since last week and will go back Wednesday, so I'm one.

Anyone going to admit to chucking a sickie? [-X

Was gonna take today A/L but too many others at the office got in before me...

Took the opportunity to get the car serviced and spend the day in the office, on SAFooty ;)

I'm sure the boss knows, but everything gets done and our results are outstanding. Plus we all work 70 hour weeks so a day at home is not an issue.

Was planning to "work from home" myself.

Then the boss, over from Melbourne, decided that today would be super for a discussion with me.

So here I am.

Doing what smac is, working from home. Can check work email remotely and still answering ( the diverted ;) ) phone.

Might have seen a few customers this afternoon too....

Had the day off today. Up until a couple of weeks ago none of my staff had asked for it so I thought bugger it, I'll take that! :D

We had the day off at work, but I had stuff that needed to be done by Wednesday so I was there from 8-1 getting it all finished.

Worked today until 1.30pm. The only person in my area, about 3-4 on the whole floor. Got a stack done too, thought the peace would help.

You guys must have great bosses.Me I got a roster that said Monday Wednesday Thursday I had to work overtime .Went straight away and told them Monday and Thursday I could work some but not all the overtime and told them when I'd finish .But I couldn't work back Wednesday .
Start work at 6.30am computers and RF Devices go down for three hours!! Come back on and the team leader says work until 6pm no sorry :?
See we get a public holiday but we MUST DO five days work in four days .And that way we still work around the 40's don't get something for nothing in my workplace .
I think xmas time they tried or did push two weeks work through in a week .Due to all the public holidays!!
