Lets get involved into a little bit of the logic behind these selections. As lately they have been going all over the place with some returns popping up here and there.

Sale Race 7.

The best dog in the race is SPORTZ.
The best drawn dog...... 440m gives the middle boxes the best run. As if you were to stand behind the Sale boxes, 1,2,3 straight lining it would hit the rail. #4,5,6 have the idea passage down the back-straight. 7,8 can pick up the crums.
Best suited dog.....#7 Pelican Paul. Because boxes 4,5,6 don't have any early speed in them of great note. Ok #5 has moderate pace early but wont get room to move with #9 starting from Box 6. Box 4 is a good 2-3 lengths off at the start which makes it difficult to come from behind in her racing pattern.

#2 is keen railer who races best when the bunny pulls her along.
#3 Dr Dennis likes to get room early, so has to clear out boxes 4,5,6 early to position middle of track.
#1 is a strange one. has some type of ability, but doesn't want to seem to race all the time.


It seems that there is a fair bit of trouble on the rail as they get the squeeze. leaving the race to the outsides. Now #8 SPORTZ will have trouble crossing Pelican Paul I feel, thus not running up to full potential. And running around the outside of runners won't really suit. Needs to ping and cross cleanly.

The stats see PELICAN PAUL .5 of a length clear after 50m of the race.

But 1.5lengths clear of boxes inside, giving plenty of room to cross.

HOT PRICE has to win this race. Has explosive early speed and can continue that for a fair distance. Sure will tire a bit in the final stages of the race, but with the 75m radius bend, if he gets to the rail and stays there should be running 24.70s. Nothing else will match motors. Coulta Sally, only danger. The others like it longer.
