It's 2010, if people haven't worked out intranet policy in the workplace by now then bad luck I say.

Look at that stuff at home.[/quote]

Typically and without knowing all the facts of the matter it would be a formal warning surely.
A sense of proprotion has to come into this and it would be madness for a person to lose their job over that surely. I've worked in private industry and seen some poor behaviour exhibited, this is well down the scale.

Did someone dare him?
Has someone set him up?

Just seems a bit 'suss' to me.

The bald dude sent him the email, he knew the other dude was looking at them, and was talking to him about how nice Kerr is. Then the bald dude told the other dude "Hey dude there's a camera there" and the dude turned around and hey presto your answer.........

Must have been confusing with the amounts of dudes in there.... ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

He may have sent him the e-mail in the first place.

Yeah - so brings the point of if guy 1 loses his job and it was sent from a fellow work mate - they'd have to lose their job as well??

Depends if the fellow work mate has deleted the email. The way I understand it is you can be fired if those things are found on your computer. Even if the emails come from your Manager and the boss can see that, if its not on your managers computer he can't be fired.

Thats the way our HR guy explained it to me at my previous job anyway.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

I'd think a warning would be totally fair but I've worked at a couple of places where youd be out the door. You agree to their policy as part of the contract.

yeah right because I'm totally judgmental about that sort of thing.

I'd rather stay employed and if that means looking at nude pics at home rather on the job, then sorry for being stuck up.

Apparently it was a prank & he was getting sent those as emails & the last one before he turned around had "Turn Around Right Now" at the bottom of the screen lol funny even if it was a prank, I heard he still has his job so i'd say it might be a prank from a co-worker I'm sure the bank doesn't mind it considering all the free publicity they're getting.

It looked to me from the footage as though the bald guy from the adjacent desk walked over and told him what was happening just before he looked around.

Just like to say, why did it get to that stage, the station concerned was doing a live cross, with live crosses etc there is about a 7 second "get out of jail" card in case the wrong word etc was said, why wasn't it used in this case and just throw straight back to the studio but no, they kept going and in fact the cameraman actually moves away from the person talking to focus on the screen and the worker. Work ethics like that belong in the gutter, not very good journalism IMHO

I think you'll find someone 'video taped/recorded' the tv - I don't think the camera man zoomed in ??

I don't think the 7 second delay happens for TV, that's only a radio thing.

I've kept it and send it out to others at work when they'd least expect it, I just change the title, it works a treat. :D
