love it ace how your painting the perfect picture of the club - can only offer player so much, did all we could yada yada - obviously something bad has happened behind the scenes to make him to leave. yes his footy may have let him down a bit but blokes like him are needed around footy clubs! he was one guy i never thought would leave gx. i'm trying not to have a dig at the club, and no player is bigger than the club, but i think chris clonan deserves better than he got. just my gripe with this situation.

and he will be overseas for most of next year anyway. TT was right.

I'm not trying to paint anything picture perfect, we have issues as all other clubs do but if I could tell you the events as they have happened over the past few years with players and a coach, it may enlighten you no end. At the moment, since you are a friend of Chris' maybe ask him just what the club has done for him in the past, not because we had too either, but because we wanted to and he deserved it.
Chris is has not always been a "saint" in certain situations either and you are entitled to your opinion, it may pay you however to come out from beyond a non de plume because you can contact me anytime you like and I will tell you exactly what I know about this issue. If you also go back well prior to Xmas you will find I stated on here in that Chris was going overseas and we were sorry to lose him so TT is handing out old news still but how about you contact me for a discussion on the very first sentence in your post above, you might get a surprise. Or then again you may know it all.
Incidentally, you are involved with which club?

Not sure I answered this bit either but suffice to say, we've lost our share for reasons that are many and varied, however we were quite happy when some of them moved on because they either "were trouble" or "caused trouble". Which category do you fit into?
Surely not someone who was involved at the club a few years ago but was "moved on"!

sorry aceman, as i said i tried not to have a dig at the club. can confirm i was a past player (very proud of it may i add) and have been up there a few times since. i wasn't moved on by the club and didn't make any trouble.
i havent played for a few years so not officailly tied with any club. just a very keen observer.
you right i don't know the story, just giving my opinion from an outsiders view, but with a lot of knowledge of the dealings within the club.
also sorry for giving TT the credit on the overseas part.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Your identity is well known to me and you don't need to apologize but maybe put a bit more thought into some of your "sweeping" comments that implies that the GCFC does not care about losing players, it couldn't be further from the truth.

That's 3 of them there now, Clonan, Henderson and the other bloke whose name I'm not allowed to mention in case it upsets him & his family!

i don't want to look like i have something against GX, far from the truth. its obvious both chris and the club could not come to an agreement. which is a bit disappointing. thats all.

pm me to tell me who i am. ;)

donners is a good player and i would assume he still wants to play A grade footy but i think doing that at EP would not have happened with a good crop of young blokes going around at parks at the moment.
if he goes to the eagles he will be very good value, smart footy player & experienced and a good bloke.
but really only he can answer this one.

If my memory is still in good order, I think Boozer came from Elizabeth in the first place, went to try out at NAFC and came to Gepps Cross along with 2 or 3 ex Elizabethan mates.
Lovin Footy will be able to shed some light on this, I reckon.
