One word to sum up Spurs.......Gutless.

We just don't have what it takes to become a really good side.

Had Carra stayed on the pitch, the gaffer could have brought Babel on earlier and things might have turned out differently as when the Dutchman did come on, he caused the Gunners some problems and the home side were penned in their own half.

The gamesmanship from Fabregas at the end was poor, he wasted over a minute not going back into the wall that was never added on and how Mr. Webb didn't see the blatant handball is beyond me. It wasn't a peno, but Gerrard should have had another free kick ten yards closer and who knows.

Another disappointing trip to North London, but the Redmen will fight on and the corner has been turned. If that fixture had of been played prior to Christmas we would have been turned over 3-0. Not too much damage done in the table with Spurs losing at Wolves. Onto Eastlands in a week in a half for what I believe is a far bigger game than this mornings.

this is different from any other team in the same position?, every team and game does this at the end to soak up time. Im sure if the shoe was on the other foot gerrard and his team would have done the same. Was not a good game lacked a little in the first half but improved towards the end. great goal from diaby tho

All teams do it, frustrating as hell when your on the other end of it but thats soccer and thats what they all do to secure the points!

Brilliant game this morning from the toffees, never seen them play with such flair and confidence against a big 4 team! Usually when the pressure is on and the time is ticking we crumble, but on this occasion 'King' Louis was outstanding, besides his poor effort penalty where he just looked as though he didnt give 2 shits about taking the lead and was far too casual in his run up! But i think he made up for that :D

Can i post another one please, im pretty happy at the moment if you couldn't tell!

There are legal ways to waste time:

Play the ball up to the corner flag and dally with it.
Play posession keppy-offs between defenders and the keeper.
If the keeper makes a save/catches a corner etc, just hold onto the ball for a stupid amount of time.

All of which are legal, legitimate time wasters.

Illegal:

Blatantly interfere with a free kick.
Constantly disrupt where the ref has put the wall
Fake an injury
Constant professional fouls.
Kick the ball away when it's gone out/when a free kick is awarded.

think we can ad to the illegal menu with substitutions that are done with 30 seconds to go in stoppage time or basically when the ref is blowing for full time. who the hell wants to come on with 10 seconds to go its stupid

I'd be lying if I didnt say yeah I reckon I've seen him go down a few times I reckon he wasn't that impeded, but Ive never seen him drop without contact of some sort (ala N'Gog v Birmingham) ... Like all champions, have a quiet season and people want to sink the boot in, some (who given their players and manager) should know better

I never said he was in the box, in fact as highlighted in my quote I know he wasn't in the box but the infringement still occured, Fabregas deliberately handled the ball and therefore he should have been booked for a second time, sent off and the free kick retaken ten yards closer.

I see from your avatar you likely attended Blackfriars so the fact you are having trouble understanding me comes as no surprise.

hmm yes i did attend. ur prob the first person not to say he wasn t in the penalty box. clearly the ref was on the wrong side to determine it but knowing howard webb if he saw it he would of given it a penalty.

should be a good deserved break for teams in the EPL for the FA cup this week. Although alot of teams would still love to be in the FA cup but can bring results in other comps if you have a break at this time of year
