Thunder and Lightning 11/11/06

Anything!

Postby Macca19 » Sun Nov 12, 2006 3:34 pm

Was a killer storm. We havent had one like that in a bloody long time.

Was at Seaton and you could see the lightning coming in. Some cracking bolts and the rain drops were huge. What was great though was that it came and went three different times.

I was at the Regency Hyatt, on North Tce for dinner last night (quite a good meal), & had a view of lightning cracking "over" Adelaide Oval- superb.
I also had to catch a taxi home at midnight, to put the dog inside, & then go back to town...

Was a great show
My house has high, raked ceilings and some windows at the top (sky lights sort of).
The missus and I were watching movies and it was great to see the whole room light up.

Stood outside in it, seems like ages since it rained. Mr MK and I were in a taxi going down Regency Road when an almighty flash of lightning (and instant huge crack of thunder) came, took my breath away and all the lights went out on Regency Road. Thought it must've struck somewhere close.

Thanks mother nature, my lawn just loved it.

A couple of night thunder claps in town half hour ago.
Got wet walking back to work but not because it was raining heavily just because each drop was the size of a golf ball.

Was having a meal and brews at the Colonal Light Hotel and the power went off there ater a really loud crack of thunder.

While Im thinking of the Colonal Light Hotel, would it kill them to have an eight ball table that includes:

* A white ball
* An eight ball
* More than one cue
* Chalk
* More than 5 'bigs'
* No need for 9 'smalls"
* Also no need for a yellow and a brown ball from snooker.

Table was nice though.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Sensational, all this thunder :evil: ....
My dog hates thunder, he jumped a low part of the fence (previously not identified as an "escape route") & took off down Marion Rd, where I believe he got hit by a car- he limped into an office supplies store & laid down. They recognised him, & rang my work (their employees must drive down my street & have seen my work vehicle), so owhen I picked him up, he was limping & had grazes, so off to the vet. He's ok, bit shaken & bruised.
