DA that is why I don't want to see the death of Port.... if you love to beat them why would you want to see them out of the comp?

Plus the fans of the club, think how terrible you would feel if your club collapsed, why would you want someone else to go through that?

Both valid points, and reasons why I'd hate to see any club go under

At the moment, the thought of Port finishing up at the end of the year is unbearable. Pompey fans are in the same boat.

All the crap about plastic fans and bandwagoners aside, you don't want to see any club fall over.

the death of man utd would not make anyone happy, even me. the thought of them being at the foot of the table struggling to stay in or in the championship would make me more happy. As to if Arsenal was in the same boat im sure every tottenham supporter would feel better knowing we were in the championship and be able to give crap to an arsenal fan when they see them in the street about being in the lower divs would be much better.

Take nothing away from Wayne Rooney this season, he has been fantastic, especially with his header goals that he didnt normally score which for some reason he is scoring alot this season. My question, would Rooney still be as great or as good if he was still at Everton??. Personally i think he is great because of the rest of the united team giving him what he needs.

Would he be just a striker at everton and no more if he was there still or do you think he would be as good as and maybe everton would be near the top of the table??

Micheal Owen out for the rest of season and could miss the world cup. He requires surgery on his hamstring and they said it is alot worse the first thought.

Also heard that rooney may be rested for the trip to wolves. With owen and rooney out it might be a difficult game for man utd?

Great work by Scholes to bring his ton up, can't believe we took all 3 points. Wolves should have scored a number of times.

Wolves are underrated IMO. Mccarthey has them playing some good football. (when he doesn't make 10 changes)

[EDIT] - I watched the full replay today and Wolves realistically had the better of the play. They created far better chances than Utd, but lacked the finishing touch.

Full credit to Utd though, Scholes took his chance brilliantly. But crickey they missed Rooney.

Still, a good team wins despite playing badly.

gee some of the man utd former players and supporters on there MUTV show certainly dont give any other team in the Champ league a chance. saw a minute of it last night on setanta and all these diff names of teams were thrown at some guy having an interview(dont know who he was) like barca, lyon, chelsea, arsenal etc and everytime he would say, 'no chance for them, man utd have it wrapped up'. Same as the EPL when he was asked about chelsea, arsenal his answer was 'no chance, man utd have that comp wrapped up already'. Think there is a few ppl at OT counting their chickens before they hatch. you may win it in both comps but still ages to go.

How on earth do they have it wrapped up? That's ridiculous.
It will make it so much sweeter if they fail, although the alternatives (Arse, Chelski) in the League are none too promising!

I think he's saying it was on the MUTV show on Setanta sports. Might be on their website.

Gotta remember though that they're interviewing fans who tend to be overly biased. But still funny to rub it in if they fail  ;)

correct, it was on MUTV on setanta. There was some older bloke, with a black guy sitting next to him and the chick running the show had a last name of Mcqueen?? The older fella was just going on and on about it. Maybe they do have it wrapped up good for them but no need to boast before we get anywhere near the end of season. if they do win EPL and champ league then so be it boast all they like

HUGE win last night. I thought bloody Liverpool were going to beat us again when Torres scored but it was a great fightback.

They could have had 2 sent off in the first 25 with Mascherano bringing Valencia down for the penalty and denying a goal scoring opportunity, Torres should have been booked for dissent when he booted the penalty spot but then he may not have picked up that yellow not long after.

Very important win though. DA.. did you celebrate the goals? ;)

Yep well done mate ... Man U play such a high tempo and high quality brand of footy that is ideally suited to the EPL - Unfortunately it's something we don't do (at least not often enough).

I thought Park was looking ultra dangerous in the 2nd half and it came as no surprise to me that he ended up on the scorers sheet.

Masch should have been gone after his foul on Valencia and I felt a bit sorry for Pepe after making such a great save on the penalty.

What was up with the 2 misses of Torres late in the game and there's something not right with Stevie G - Whilst Ive missed a lot of our games this year, Im still yet to see a high quality performance from him, I thought he was ordinary again last night and very lazy at times.

Valencia and Rooney are awesome players, in awesome form, and I really felt that touch more class and a much higher off the ball workrate from the Man U players was the difference between the two teams.
