Heard Westies bowled spinners for the last 15 overs to try and keep the game going....OTH cashed in on that situation apparently.

Both batters and bowlers were slipping everywhere. Not the best conditions to bowl in, prob why everyone who won the toss batted.

Would've been wise to call stumps earlier if that was the case...

Crickets a funny game, anything can happen but i think R&C have definately earnt the opportunity to be thought of as "dangerous" come finals. A side not given much hope before round 1 has shocked everyone and even the games lost have been in the game up to their necks.

Have a very strong bowling attack, but i feel the batting still looks a little fragile.. perhaps that missing link will come next season ;)

top 4 side all play each other this week so will give us more of an indication where they are at. Rosies def have two good opening bowlers, but like phantom has said might be the batting that will let them down. Having said that Figs is hitting some runs and all it takes is a few starts from the rest and they have a score to defend.
OTH have lost to S/W by 2 or 3 runs in the one dayer and hopfully can make it a close game on the weekend again. Our only other loss was to virginia. Could be intersting.

Div 2 looking extremly tight. Both Playford and Central United could lose from their current positions. Though if the weather Saturday is like it is today i would expect Playfords Al Hewitt to bowl them to victory fairly comfortable.

Playford were 8/126 at tea, a bit of a comeback there, losing 22 overs really hurt our outright prospects, we are 2/58 off of 12 overs, need to score quickly this week to have any chance.

A full days play and i think you lot will be on for an outright, if you can score at six an over you would have a 100 run lead with more than 40 overs left in the day which i think could be ample to bowl the demons out in their last innings of the year.

It appears as though the top 4 would be all but finalized. Rosies would have to win outright from there or bowl Westies out twice and score 340 themselves to eclipse Salisbury North.

North Pines are in a predicament atm, they can try and set up a reverse outright if Westies get over the line to snare a home final, it could cost them a spot in the 4 if it backfires though. The other 3 matches hold little significance unless Para Teachers can get an outright vs Smithfield.

Imho home finals are not worth the risk of not playing finals entirely. Much prefer away finals where you can rock up knowing what you need to do, no setting up, packing down anything like that.

Then there's the heat policy that has killed a few sides in recent finals. I must say, I've always preferred to get to the ground early with the boys, set up and then stoke the bbq for a pre-match feed and laugh.

Just my opinion but i prefer to deal with the now on a cricket field, imho you can only change what is happening at that current time not a week or two down the track, i would be securing a finals position and then dealing with the other scenarios as they come up. Anyway thats the way i have always captained sides whether it be right or wrong.
