Normal times and being played at Central United

Had a wander down to Mofflin reserve today fairly even contest from what I saw. Any truth to the rumour that #8 for United is actually signed at Mawson and their coach was yelling at him from the side line.

Yes he is signed to Mawson Lakes but no, our coach wasnt yelling at him at any stage from the side line. He simply asked what was happening. The coach and also myself watched from the sideline for 1/2 game.

May have been a well executed ploy to enable that player to seek extra in match payments! ;) ....................................
BTW, what is the actual equivalent of an increase of 4/5'ths of 5/8ths of F^#k all?

  Where did you hear this rumour BB? Yes no.8 is a new Mawson Lakes recruit and the ML coach spoke to him at quarter time to find out what was going on and was satisfied with his response but as for yelling on the side lines coach never said a word during the the first 2 quarters (which is all he stayed for) ;)

Game was evenly matched from what I saw, CU have a couple of handy recruits...even though score don't matter who ended up winning?

P.s please tell me that cricket pitch on the wing at Mofflin Reserve is gonna be covered for the regular season?

I believe CU won by a couple of goals, looked not too bad, thought bobridge in the midfield did well and travis uern up forward kicked 5. However rumor has it Travis only played the trial game for fun and is back to Adel Plains league for season proper.

Not sure how much you can read into the game, IF missing a dozen blokes and CU had a few who wont play regular season. Still thought it was a good game..

On another note though, i think it is stupid appointing div2 umps to a div 6/7 trial game!

The speed, fitness and skill levels are not going to be at the same level as the umps are used to and dont seem to adjust accordingly.

Also the umps today - even though from a higher level - i thought were very average and inconsitant.

Spot on. Todays umpires were more inconsistant then a Crows forward line... And for **** sake, every time one of them bounced up he said the same thing....

Was he the lad wearing the red shorts? He looked the goods if CU could hold onto him he'd be very handy.

Sorry to say but CU wouldn't be able to afford Trav's payments per game....

If a player suits up for 2 trial games with a club, team sheets submitted to saafl umpires, said club can claim them as current player regardless of where they have been training.
