anyone interested in weight training/lifting check out http://www.t-nation.com (bypass all the bullshit like the forums) and tucekd away are some great articles on nutrtion and lifting and overall healthy attitudes and behaviours.
For basic lifting articles, check out chad waterbury. he focuses on all the basic lifting ideas of a strong Posterior chain and multi joint, compound movements (ie Squats, bench, deadlifts and their variations).

Stay away or mostly limit the single joint movement like db curls and extensions

For eating i recommend to check out nutrtion artlies by Dr. John Beradi.
Some overall principals are to eat small/average size meals 6 - 8 times a day. Even late at night...(good foods tho....the eating late at night thing is bad for you is a myth)
Always include some vegies in a meal and protein...carbs only after working out or at worst, early in the morning.
Drink WATER!!!!!! no fizzies

try and avoid breads and cereals, they are ok but really wasted foods. Stay away from soy...SOY BAD, REAL PROTEIN GOOD (chkn, eggs, vegies)
I myself am trying to change some habits and while im no saint in the nutrition dept, i try to stick to the basics as much as possible.

Also, dont be afraid to have have a cheat meal once a week, like on sunday (and no once a week does not mean 'the weekend

all the best ppl, oh and for the record, im about 180 lbs and 5'9". My goal is to get stronger and lift my numbers, while of course keeping the weight down.
