You arent awarded the points during the year for a rained / heat rule game, so why should it be different in a final.

However, what do you do? Play on the Mnday? Next weekend? Just couldnt happen so the rules are there to award the higher placed team...

Wont change people.

maybe the association should think of starting the season
a week earlier so if a draw happens again they can still play the wkend after... Just a thought?

Will be the only way around it....or, like the old days, have 2 one dayers over one weekend (Saturday/Sunday).

Having said that, when was the last time a Grand Final was washed out ? Its been a long time. Even longer since a tied Grand Final I would say.

funny you say, the last wash out was back in 03/04 again rose & crown.. Think we played centrals and also had them on toast as well.. But i like the idea of 2 one day games to make up an extra week..

Not sure why they stopped....but they were played in January. I remember one weekend and there was no heat policy back then. 42 on the Saturday and 43 on the Sunday...brutal.

its all good oz spose that i always thought that gf was a bit ridiculous that a tie is different to a draw in regards to who goes through(or claims the flag as i cant see the difference if u finish on top but thats just me) but i guess it finally spilled out and the wash out was centrals thats why i always thought it was harsh on R&C as they were on the recieving end of that one that they had to share after a tie when finishing higher

Have heard from an unreliable source that Playford will be going from 4 teams down to 2, with 4 or 5 players going to Smithfield.

from what I hear things aren't great out there, they do still have a pulse though so I wouldn't be putting a line through them just yet.

I heard around Craigmore that we were getting a 3 or 4 from Playford, then I heard from a current Playford player that all but 1 of those have said they were going to Smithfield. Dont know names though.

Have heard the same thing about Eastern Park.

Can't see that happening mate, there's a few people that wont allow it to and I think Eastern Park realize the importance of getting income during the summer months.

I've heard you have gained one A grader from there, doesn't want to play A's at Craigmore though, a B grade bowler heading up Uley Rd, apparently we are gaining two A graders and another two are undecided on where they'll be playing next season.
