Actually think that has been part of their problem in previous years, dangerous near goal, flashy in midfield, leaky in defence.

Was an entertaining game yet again on Sat night.

Yeah, definitely agree with that. Most fans want the flashy type players who play to entertain. Unfortunately, that's not the way to being successful.

IMO, this year our defence has been super tight and really locked sides out, which I've never seen Spurs do before.

Think you've summed it up perfectly there DA ... Bale was electrifying, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous watching that performance.

Pav did indeed miss some sitters (none as bad as the West Ham effort early at the Bridge), but you can cop that if your striker keep buttering up.

The conceded goal saw your defenders get caught "ball watching", something us Liverpool fans have a fair idea about given the number of dead ball goals we've conceded in the last couple of years.

Krancjar (sp?) is an awesome pick up for you blokes.

Kranjcar is an awesome signing. For 2m quid, he's been the signing of the season IMO. WTF were Pompey thinking!

Good performance by Spurs. We created lots of chances down the left via Gareth Bale who gave Salgardo a football lesson. Bale is becoming an absolute star.

Roman Pavlyuchenko showed his best and worst. He should have scored 4-5 goals, but hey, 2 will do! His missed volleys were both deplorable, but fortunately his 2nd miss was followed up with a goal about 15 seconds later. Only a miraculous bit of defending by Christopher Samba, who evidently seems to have inspector-gadget style extendable legs, prevented Super Pav from claiming his hattrick. I really hope we hang onto him over summer. He's embarassing Harry for not playing him all season!

The one downer was our calamatous defending for their goal. One moment of lost concentration and weak opposition can put one past us and get back into the game. Dawson should have been tracking Samba the whole time. Gomes should have been more aware of the players around him and stayed on his line - he got nowhere near the cross.

Anyhoo, great win in light of both Villa and Citeh dropping points. Hopefully Pompey can pull a rabbit out of the hat against Liverpoo!

so did i, i stayed up and watched my game, was buggered on sundaye as i went to bed when the sun was up.

Another brilliant, brilliant result for spurs!!! Down to our last fit 11 players and we beat stoke at home!! That's spurs 1st win at britannia in 25 years.

Gives us breathing space in 4th for now. Hopefully citeh slip up!

On the bae/corluka handbags, it's good to see they care but disappointng outburts from both of them. Still 3 points in the bag with bae providing the brilliant cross for the equalizer.

Eidur gudjohnsson has still got it. What a world class performance!!

Sunderland away will be a challenge but as long as you beat Arsenal I will be happy. After all, we did you guys a favour this morning. 8)

IMO, Stoke away is harder than going to the Stadium of Shite. But it will be no easy game, particularly with Bent on form and probably looking to get one over us.

Yep, your lot did do us a favour. Hopefully we can repay it with a victory over the scum.

Gomez motm on the telly and I agree 100%. 3 sensational saves in the last 10 minutes and as they say, some players win games, others save them and Gomez definitely was a game saver tonight.

The new kid for spurs scored a pretty special goal tonight too. thought the camera\ scanning the crowd with just a couple of minutes left showed how much it meant to the Spurs fans to finally get one over thier arch rivals.

Going to have to agree with JTC here 100%! Gomez was superb in the final 15 minutes i watched after seeing Everton throw away the lead twice YET AGAIN!

Van Persie had about 4 shots in the last 15 minutes and if it weren't for Gomez it would have been Arsenal 4 - 2 Tottenham! Great win by Spurs, can they hold out Man City from 4th spot, you would think they will be the only challenger now!

HUGE games this weekend for both clubs and the next few games actually! I feel Tottenham have a slightly easier run than Man City but Man City are in some form at the moment! im excited about the end of this season and Everton aren't even involved :(
