No offence but if Bolton are serious about rising up the EPL table why are they trying to sign 4 Burnley players who are on the brink of relegation. Doesn't make sense really.

Mate, Elliot, Carlisle and MacDonald are all quality young players that have excellent further development potential. All would be great signings for Bolton and terrible news for the Clarets if true.

Contrast that to my lot, who are apparently considering a bid for Steven Fletcher, who is the most useless sack of spuds in the premiership. I've had a 2 page arguement on a Spurs forum about why we shouldn't buy him. Give me Elliot, Carlisle, MacDonald, McCann or Eagles any day of the week though.

Well, it's official. The Clarets Premier League run has been ended in their first season back in the top flight.

I'm lucky to have jumped on the bandwagon and seen 3 really great seasons out of the Clarets and I'll be doing my best to catch them as often as possible next season through Foxtel's limited coverage of the fzzy pop league. Hopefully there is a manager out there who can guide them back up to the top flight and not sell out halfway through.

Personally, I'll never forget watching the game v United and seeing the Beast save a penalty, then Robbie Blake's absolute peach of a strike to hand 3 points to the Clarets. That was absolutely magic.

Fingers crossed Turf Moor becomes a fortress again next season and we see Burnley back up in the Prem.

This is true but usually that happens before the playoffs. Looks like it could be Swansea's turn to choke this year.

True RM. I'd say most EPL sides would be dreading Cardiff coming up simply because their fans are nutters and it would suck having to travel there for an away game!

Cheers smithy. The EPL slime didn't have enough time to settle on the lads. That's actually part of the problem for the sides who come into the EPL with no experience at that level. It isn't "the rub of the green" although the commentators like to word it that way. It is simply that these sides (including Burnley) are just too honest. I can't count the number of times we have conceded free kicks and penalties to the cheating wankers of the EPL. Perfect example was Hibberts shocker at home to Everton. Dived, conned the ref, got the penalty.

The lower leagues have always been more honest, and that honesty comes up with them to the EPL.

I know it might sound like sour grapes, and trust me it isn't, but I actually prefer the CCC to the EPL.
EPL = AFL. Strerile, full of gamesmanship and bears no resemblance to the real game.
CCC = SANFL Less talent, but more honest and closer to the true game.

Money has played the huge role in the "win at all costs" attitude but players need to take a long hard look at themselves. Just look at the bullshit going on during the Barca v Inter game this week. Utter drivel, but as long as the cheats are allowed to get away with it, it isn't going to change.

Nice way to say goodbye to the EPL. Claret fans were fantastic today and in the end even the spurs fans were celebrating our goals

What for next year? Well if we play like we did in the 2nd half we will be in with a shout. No money worries unlike Pompey and Hull and no "giants" to contend with next year.

Personally I think the CCC will be the weakest league for years
