are you for real or are you just taking the piss? because i don't think think that the 8-15 year old market has really discovered pokie machines or beer yet. i'm talking about gaining supporters and members in the years to come. yes, i know it is important to have income from pokie machines, but if there are no supporters rocking up to the game in 10-20 years then you'll have a series of successful pokie venues but no football clubs or league worth maintaining them. talk about putting the cart before the horse.

anyway, i shouldn't have expected all of you over-40's to accept change, gotta hold on to the good-old days.

well done centrals.

100% spot on Brent.

What appeals to us seasoned SANFL followers doesn't cut it with the kids of today.

Simple fact is - the logo's are a relic.

Any changing them isn't going to have any impact on 'tradition.'

The new shade of blue being used on the Sturt Guernsey is a good case of a change for the worse.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

A few other's have agreed with this in part.
If the current design of the clubs' logos are relatively recent, then I'd like very much to see the original logos, and how they changed over the years. It would be interesting to see how the truly "traditional" versions compare with today's market.

Agreed, that's been a huge bugbear of mine for years and its good to finally have a Sturt fan agree with me!
The sooner that Sturt get back to the light blue they wore in the 60s and the 70s the better.

North's logo (Coat of arms) prior to the current Rooster in the "SANFL Circle", was a Kangaroo and Emu standing each side of a shield with NAFC on it.
Then came the original Rooster in a circle, with the V guernsey on it.
Then the current candy stripe Rooster in a circle.

The 2004 heritage game banner had the coat of arms, personally I'd like to see something that blends the Coat of arms with the Rooster

We've had at least four that I know of and I'd say probably more.

One is on the club website in the history section - pretty sure it's the one we had until the current logo came in.

Eerily similar to Collingwood's curent logo.
