QLD 3/69[19]
MAHER 21 OFF 68
SYMMO 42*[34]
PHILLIPSON 1*
BRACKEN 1/12[10]

The best o/d middle order batsman in the world 42* off only 34 balls
The top 5 best o/d bowler in the world Bracken 10 overs 1/12
The only disappointment was Bracken bowled exclusively to Maher who could not
get off strike, he bowled 1 ball to Symo and beat him pointlessly.
How does Phillipson bat before Perron :?:

UPDATE
---------
QLD 5/74
SYMMO 44[39]
PHILLIPSON 2[3]

Both dismissed by would you believe it the man for whom Stewie Macgill retires for,
the much MALigned Nathan HAURITZ who has 2/3 off2 overs, including Symmo :!:

They bat deep, but need to

QLD 8/239
PERRON 69[77]
NOFFKE 28*[13]
BICHEL 26[12]
KREZJA 3/69

A typical fightback by the reliable QLD mid to late order batsmen.
As MAL predicted in an earlier post the QLD tail is very good.
Leading rungetter in the o/d comp the GUTSY cLinton PERRONitis started the fightback
with a terrific match savinsg 69[77].
PERRON had 227 runs at 75 leading into this game yet QLD still find a way to bat
the underperforming PHILLIPSON and the promising SIMPSON above him.
QLD were 5/107 when BUCHANAN was clearing run out but given not out.
Nathan Horribleritz bowled well 2/39
At 8/186 QLD were well held by the no name NSW attack[Bracken excepted]
Enter BICHEL + NOFFKE.
They smashed 53 off the last 4 overs to turn the match.
BICHEL 26[12] NOFFKE 28*[13] were awesome, as once again the QLD tail performed
another great escape.
THORNLEY 5 overs 0/58 + KREZJA 9 overs 3/69 were clobbered, KREZJA was unlucky
having BICHEL dropped by HAURITZ which would have been 9/203 with 2 overs left.

Simon KATICH should be shot for bowling THORNLEY when he should have bowled
Aaron BIRD who finished with 6 overs 0/20 and bowled at 140 km impressively in
his earlier spell. KATICH has done a LEHMANN and completely goofed up.
KREZJA the off spinner bowled too deep in the innings as well.

A total of 210 = 239 now + maybe QLD have a sniff now.
A lot depends on JAQUES/KATICH opening partnership vrs JOHNSON and co.

COYTE looked promising as a new ball bowler, maybe REB knows more about him[0/37 of 10]

For those watching on foxtel watch a budding superstar in action, a middle order
batsman called Daniel CHRISTIAN who is destined for greater things.

MY TIP NSW just.

MAHER was facing
SIMPSON was at the non strikers end
The ball was bowled MAHER played and missed outside off stump
SIMPSON backed up about 2 yards and watched and watched + did not move.
HADDIN looks and underarms the ball down the pitch and hits the stumps at the bowlers end.
SIMPSON looks around and is stunned YOU IDIOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slow motion stuff, SIMPSON would have felt like a birdbrain !
The 2nd best keeper in Australia perfected a stunning run out.

m80's HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ANYTHING AS DOPEY AS THAT BEFORE :?: :?: :?:

don't know if you call it dopey but i remember playing a footy match where i passed a low stab kick to the leading full forward. it hit him right on the chest, the full forward didn't break stride when he took the mark. he marked it about 3metres inside the goal square. he went back and lined up and kicked it out on the full. the full forward was one: PETER DARLEY!!!!

NSW 2/95 off 22 overs
The amazing HADDIN 24[17] playing the best cover drives of the year[REB he is a champ]

NSW 4/125 OFF 32
haddin 29[31] great innings
thornley 11[19] intimidated by short pitched bowling
CHRISTAIN 35*[86]
OBREIN 1*

THORNLEY was caught behind of the unlucky BICHEL [2nd poor decision against him]
and still only made 11, looked scared against a fired up BICHEL.

BICHEL the oldest teenager playing cricket is indefatigueable !

BICHEL asked umpire Goodyear about his 2nd unallowed caught behind Goodyear replied
" prepared to give you the 1st one, but the 2nd one was off the pad"
Poor awnswer indeed.
Umpire Goodyear is having a bad night !

QLD look winners unless the bruised and battered CHRISTIAN explodes
CHRSTIAN bats like BORGAS prods defends scratches and then explodes.

UPDATE
--------

CHRISTAIN out 41[96] Mal gave the kid a wrap, he tried very hard, but too slow
NSW 5/137
QLD are winners, surely
HOPES still has many overs left and will finished them off.
Need 103 off 85 balls, not against the QLD attack from here.

QLD 9/239
NSW 8/215

A late flurry from good tailender Jason KREJZA 52*[44 balls] added some respectability.
If HAURITZ held that catch he would have been on about 4/50 instead
of finishing on 3/69 off 9...also Bracken dropped a late catch of the unlucky spinner.
That 55 of 25 balls partnership by BICHEL + NOFFKE was the difference.
SIMPSON 4/34 made up for his dumb run out when batting.
HOPES 7 overs 1/31 and 2 run out had. a quiet night.

HOPES bowling o/d stats before todays game
93 wickets
23-89 ave
4-48 economy
best 5/39

Good numbers for a guy that would average about 30 with the bat as well.

REB the differnce in this game was the QLD bowlers are better batsmen then NSW bowlers.

QLD bowlers are
BICHEL
JOHNSON
NOFFKE
HOPES
SIMPSON
SYMONDS
they are all good batters or late order hitters.

QLD after being 5/70 odd recovered well and deserved this win.

BICHEL man of the match took 2 wkts[ was robbed of 4] and late hitting.

LOL. Woops indeed. Qld far too good last night. The game was boring in the end because we just didn't measure up. They've got an excellent attack the Bulls and the late order KABOOM by Noffke and Bichel (a fine cricketer in both forms of the game) was the difference in the end. Once again Katich (sigh..can we please send him back to the Warriors?) overbowled slow bowlers at the death and we got crunched. He should have learnt from the near miss in the WA game.

Don't get too cocky SA fans, NSW and SA were evenly matched in our clashes this year but the Bulls have proven themselves the better side to us on two occasions now so I reckon your lot have a couple of losses heading your way. The Bulls will be hard to beat for the Franger Cup. Too good.
