Lehmann and Deitz have each scored one four-day ton, while Elliott has been our only one-day century maker.

Btw, spelly is in a league of his own.

LOL Fair call on Spelly, and thanks for the info ... I guess the fact that we have only 3 tons from 10+ innings says it all

SA 7/328
112 OVERS
LEHMANN 57
DIETZ 13
GILLESPIE 5*
CULLEN 10 *

SA loses 2/40 this morning off 17 overs.
Mals man the next fast bowling sensation of Australia, a man who has a Bjorn Borg beard,
a man who bowls like Garth Mckenzie, a man that bowls at 140 km, a man that will need
shoulder surgery in March or after the o/d World Cup from carrying the Tasmanian
bowling attack, has done it again.
Adam Hilfentasmaniahaus snared Lehmann + Dietz and now has
33 overs
6 maidens
5/74

UPDATE
---------

SA 8/339
119 OVERS
CULLEN 11
GILLESPIE 13*
ROFE 0*

GUESS WHO TOOK THE WICKET :!:

HILFENHAUS
36 OVERS
7 MAIDENS
6/78

I wonder if he listens to a certain LEO SAYER song :?:

UPDATE
-----------
SA ALL OUT 349
GILLESPIE 13
ROFE 0
TAIT 10*[8]

We lost 5/61 off 26 overs

HILFENHAUS
37 OVERS
7 MAIDENS
7/79

The barrell chested fast bowling superstar this morning had 13 overs 4/27.

349 will be a very competitive total to defend, Dan Cullen is due for wickets, has he taken
a first class wicket this year yet ?
Ironically our best totals this year are on the road.
349 v TA
9/399 V NSW
Ironically Daniel Harris played in those games.
How Good is HARRIS, HILFENHAUS didnt get him out :!:

Bailey smacked Dan Cullen for a 6 and he was looking good then shouldered arms to a Dizzy inswinger and had his off stump pegged back.

Yes and I hope Boof captains well and makes passionate supporters like me happier.
I have been a bit over the top with Boofs captaincy, buts thats stemming from the
frustration of losing winnable games.

DUTCHY we have had a problem for 2 seasons with opening batsmen and the keeper
What is irreverantly stunning is the coach and the selectors to address the problem.
PHILLPS = Part tme wicketkeeper and opening batsman
NOBES = opening batsman
KELLY = Wicketkeeper/batsman

Surely the 3 would have the qualifiactions to address the matter.

But I will say one thing about the hierachy they have produced a team and promoted some
great juniors and we must now repay the system.
HARRIS/BORGAS/FERGUSON./COSGROVE/TAIT/BAILEY/CULLEN
7 VERY VERY GOOD players brought thru by Chappell /Phillips and too a lesser extent.
Nobes/Kelly

KELLY is the awswer, he identifies young talent, a great educator of cricketers and a very
popular person.
KELLY has made a shield 100 against Jeff Thomsons QLD a few years ago.

And yes bat first in the longer games.

TAS 4/86 Dizzy and Taity 2 wickets apiece.
I suppose COSGROVE/HARRIS/BORGAS are warming up for a spell

TA 6/196
MARSH 57*
GEEVES 1*
BIRT 71
CLINGLEFFER 1

COSGROVE 8 OVERS 0/29
CULLEN 8 OVERS 2/41

Twoheadsmania got 29 charitable runs off Cosgrove a terrific batsman but bowler no thanks.
We look to have 1st innings points in the bank but captains bowling choices ?
Come on Boof bowl youself YOU ARE A SUPERIOR BOWLER TO COSSIE.

MALS preview stated that we needed Cullen to take wickets + he has.
The babybacks are are a good team just need a win + some inspired leadership.

Hey Mal - a long shot explanation...

Do you think maybe the selecters are looking for a batsman that is capable of bowling 5-6 overs in a World Cup match? Perhaps Boof is trying to get one of his protege's over the the Carribean? Just a thought. I would like to see Boof bowl himself more as well...

Cheers,

Max

Maybe Boof doesn't want to take wickets away from his 2 young spinners in Cullen & Bailey.

He knows he will never play for Australia again (an outrage!), so he doesn't want to deny those boys match practice and wicket-taking opportunities by bowling himself. :-k
