Was that number 40, Buddha. He wouldn't have made it to the wedding as he would have been in hospital with leather poisoning!

Yeah Buddha was number 40.... we really missed him in the A grade his contested footy would have helped for sure!

could well be. have they lost anyone apart from the big hound?

Apparently they have picked up Alex Haughy from Gaza in the last week. Wouldnt have thought they'd lost too many. They have too many quality players in their side to keep this up, expect a turn around very soon.

Very dissapointing performance from the Hawks on Saturday.

Modbury kicked away to a 5 goal lead in the 2nd qtr and failed to put Athelstone away. In the second half they won the contested footy and Modbury squandered chances infront of goal. 19 points is not acceptable! Should have been a 5 goal minimum win instead a loss and is a big wake up call for the boys. They will no doubt re group and look for a good showing against Walkerville this week. We missed Buddha Richards massively around the contests and he will be a much needed IN for us this week.

The B grade was a good contest Modbury kicking away to a 4-5 goal lead at half time and then Athelstone fighting back to level the score half way through the last Qtr. The Hawks scrapping over the line.

There is little point IMO in recruiting so many players who play a similar role. EP have Zak Millar and Taylor who are the standouts along with Butler, Gatto, Hamilton, Haughey, the little fella from s/north (cant remember his name) all playing similar roles. I understand that Butler and Haughey have both come back to the club without being chased though so I guess your not going to turn them away...

They need to start getting a couple of these players to play different roles, maybe as permanent flankers who can kick you three, four or five most weeks. Also you can have the greatest midfield in the world but when you struggle to win taps at the centre bounce you are generally going to get done in the middle.

A turnaround is only around the corner, they have too much ability not to, but I dont think they are a legit premiership chance. I hope I get proven wrong....

PHOS Camden v Flinders Park
Athelstone v St Peters
Pembroke v Adelaide Uni
Walkerville v Modbury
Eastern Park v Rostrevor -this is my roughy. Correct me if I'm wrong (and I probably am)but I reckon it might be ROCS first ever trip to EP, that any current group of players would have experienced anyway. the young roccers may struggle on the weird oval and EP due for a good win.

oh - and $10 says they won't shower afterwards

i dont think they would ever have experienced anything like it before. reckon it'll be the thing that gets EP over the line comfortably.

Drew Lister v Pete Dempsey or Kenny McConnell may be the telling duel. If Lister kicks a bag ROCS will win.

From memory it was a big ruckus that was caused by another club so that EP wouldn't get a home final. Didn't work.

A couple of years ago they missed a home final cos Kilburn and Flinders and SAAFL kicked up about the standard of the changerooms. Since then the umpires room has been re done and the showers improved I think. Last year, although there was protest, there was no stopping home finals.

They have done a good job of the showers etc. Having been out there a few times in 12 months can't see what anyones problem was. Can remember a lot worse facilities in the parklands and expect none of them would have been upgraded.
