Glenelg & West to Merge*

Postby Punk Rooster » Sat Dec 09, 2006 10:53 am

Given all the West players heading down the Bay, one would think that they may as well change the yellow stripe to a red one.
Or just merge the club in name as well (it's all ready merged in playing stocks), then we'll get rid of the bye!
I would've listed all the West players at the Bay, but didn't want to waste a weekend on the task!

reply to my scurrilous remarks at your own leisure

I think the coaches would comfortably outnumber the players.

The last merger of the NA football club was a smart one.

Punky, any truth in the rumour that the last two clubs that publically announced an intent to merge were North and Sturt?

AT least the Bays/West merger is different from the annual Bays/south merger.
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

Agreed, bring the best of both clubs together, call them the North Adelaide Roosters, get them to play out of Prospect BUT put Coopers Pale Ale on tap as a comprimise!

Yep, anyone is welcome to merge with Glenelg provided they wear, a black and gold guernsey, play at Glenelg Oval, and call themselves the Glenelg Tigers....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
