I reckon the Demons will come from no-where and blow AUFC, PHOS ans Walkerville out of the water

They certainly have the ability to. Hamilton now playing as a permanent forward and seems to be working well...I remember suggesting something similar a couple of weeks ago

If that keeps working they will do very well, if teams learn to shut it down they will struggle as they have limited forward options...
Harsh but fair.....

Looks like the Eastern park boys have finally got their act together and are starting to play good footy. :)

You Eastern park blokes have no idea, complaining about the umpires. They were fine and the umpires observer was there watching and id say they wouldn’t have a problem with it either and rightly so.

Game was a good tough game from start to finish Modbury once again kicking ourselves out of the game. To say you guys nearly threw it away and that we kicked some cheapies at the end and to suggest we got a lot of scoring shots from "bad umpiring" is a complete injustice to Modbury and incorrect information to the people who use this site as a source of information re Div 2.

We unfortunately had another ACL to a young player this week, Beau Jarman last week and Chris Burns this week. Terrible news, Chris was dominating across half back and hope both players can come back stronger next season.

Our depth is well and truly being tested but they guys are standing strong and the blokes who are getting a chance to play A grade are definitely not disgracing themselves.

I'll take the same as your top 4 but can't agree with Uni v PHOS, i'll take PHOS.

Would have been a good tip if we knew how to kick.

Well I think we've perfected that now so we can move on to something else. Though if we can keep it up we can have a showdown for the crown with Modbury.

not a complete injustice at all i can guarantee if you watch the recording the umpires observer took you'll see for yourelf. the only reason the scores where so close is modbury kicked 7 goals in the last quarter when the game was well and truely dead (as could have been observed by the body language of all players) and more than half of vanderveld's goals came in the last quarter, he would've had about 4 kicks up to 3/4 time for maybe 1/2 shots on goal and was very well held. This complacency of not putting the game well beyond doubt when that should have been the case, may come back to bite EP but for the last quarter and a bit they were playing with no bench and injured players on the field. I disagree completely with the comment that Modbury kicked themselves out of the game, IMO they were well below what they were last year and were never really in the game on the weekend. i'd expect them to bounce back and win the majority of their remaining games. And i guess it cant be said how much 2 narrow losses in a row would effect the playing group mentally.

We kicked 7 goals yes and you blokes kicked a few and missed a few which added to your scoring shots. We still had more scoring shots for the day and if we kicked straight in the 3rd qtr when we had roughly 11 or 12 scoring shots(you guys must have still be in control though so dont worry ) it would have been a different game.

Yes, we are playing well below what we are capable of and that is due to amount of injuries we have through the grades atm..... We should get a few blokes back in the coming weeks, but at this rate we are loosing more than we are putting back into the A grade. We will have another 3 out of the As this week id expect as well. Our depth is much better this year so its not all doom and gloom, our Bs easily accounting for EPs who have a definate drop in quality of player from the As to Bs....

SPOC this week will be a massive task but thats why ya play footy to beat the top teams. In recent years that has been us and we have seen teams get up for games against us so there is no reason we cant adopt that mentality this week.

This site is a good source of information as the umpires were poor to both teams on Saturday and this needs to be look at by the SAAFL. To say that the umpires observer had little concerns about the umpiring is surely a load of wank  it's not as if I'm sitting here saying shit about the umpires because we lost. I'm just saying it so other teams are aware that the umpires in div 2 need to be looked at...

Maybe if some of you blokes had the intelligence of FS you woudn't write the c**p that you do. He is well informed in his opinions and posts, however I think the Hawks had the will go straight back up mentaility and coupled with some injuries (every club has these) they are chaising the eight ball at present.

Not sure about the intelligence part Hound! ;) Hutchy (aka FS) is well informed on a lot of things though and doesnt mind throwing out his opinions. . they dont always reflect what everyone at the club thinks but more often than not the man is aroudn the mark.

Big test for our lads at the moment and its good to see that our depth is holding up pretty well. . A grade just losing there last few with a minimum of 4 changes a week and the B grade are 3 & 1 with a minimum of 6 changes a week. It only takes one win to turn the confidence and fortunes around. . Lets hope its this week. .
