Papa Cool to cross Fedex at start, Fedex likes the room early and will appreciate the nice space to the rails. This will be the key to his race. Papa Cool does need to lead this field. Does show great mustering pace. But you cannot get outside your normal racing pattern here and expect too win.

Obviously Gardam Prince can show good early speed. But has a lot to overcome here and last week wasn't exactly impressive. Although there were rumours about a cold. Not sure how true they were.

7 Nova Surf, big job from Box 7 to cross and lead this. Weakens in the finish. Gives a lot of room to GOODESY at the start of the race, who trialled in hot time the other week. And wasn't disgraced by any means behind Papa Cool.

Fedex will need more room than he will get. #2 can cross and lead. If Papa Cool does lead with Fedex on rails. This will mean, 5 will hold out 7, with 6,8 behind them.

Fantasy Phoenix will hold out 4. Gardam should cross them. This means that 1,2 have cover. GOODESY is posted really wide. #6 Arsonist gets rails sit behind Fedex while #7 Nova Surf cannot cross field and weakens much earlier.

No Cosmic Chief? Will start a short favourite I would presume and should salute. Young Gazza #5 had box #1 last week in the wet which proved to be quite helpful. Wont repeat its performance this week. Its too hard to get clear room, even with #6 beginning slower.

#7 Cosmic Diva will come across and so will #9.

#1 leads this race, 2 goes straight and provides cover, while #3 drops to rail quickly and just storms home. The #2 is the key to the race, just how far it shifts early. This may provide the outside boxes with a much better chance of showing true ability.

Either way, I think it will be a Cosmic Quinella. Brown is looking at a potential nice paycheck here!!

ANGLE PARK thursday

breeders plate semi finals on tonight

race 5 - 2 wheres poncho is the one to beat in this semi final.
1-4-5 look the only exotic hopes in the race. - the 5 does have to watch out as the 4 went RIGHT out of the boxes last week and squeezed the 4, so the 5 will need a clear run, but both should be strong enough to run into a place. really keen on the 2/1 exacta

race 6 - I think the 6-7 should be able to run the quinella again but I expect the 7 to win this time around, in the prelude it got pushed out so wide on the back straight and was able to make solid ground from the 600m boxes.
the 5 is the clear 3rd winning selection, but it will either win or no-where and i dont think it will be winning here. 3-2-1-8 are all exotic hopes for 3rd/4th

race 7 - i thought the red was a surprising winner last week even though it was well supported. Would definately be laying this on betfair if it is in the top 3 or 4 in the market, it wont be winning this, and i will be surprised if it is even placed.
the 8 looks well boxed, has run 2nd out here in a respectable 30-12. the 3,5 are the only real early pace in the race, I can see the 8 lobbing about 3rd on the first turn and being clasy enough to run over the top of the leaders.
for exotics must include the 3, i think it will lead and capable of running good time out in front. the 7 is a definite run on dog of the field and can run into a tri/f4 at big odds, along with 2,5,6
