Sounding Confident Warrior.
I like that.
I would have said "This weeks possible winners"

Smithfield Football Club is holding a past players day at Mofflin Reserve on Sunday, with possibly up to 40 past players representing either Central United or Angle Vale we seen it fitting to have it there.
All in all though, I think it should be a cracking game, both teams eager to keep their seasons alive and have produced some good results so far, hopefully they are both near full strength.
Special mention to Ricky Stansborough who has played for all 3 clubs.
and The Lodge as well

A good crowd was on hand at Mawson Lakes Hotel Oval on Saturday as the Footy Club celebrated it's past players day. A small Marquee was set up for the old faithful as they came to watch their side take on the youthful Modbury Hawks. They would have been happy with what they saw early as the Saints got off to a 3 goal head start. But a serious injury to Saints Forward Travis Smits, culminated in the visitors getting back into the contest, as Dalton Wegmann booted his first for the Hawks to see them level at quater time. The 2nd quater was an arm wrestle as the pacey Jesse Rowe and Brett Tarca put the Hawks into the long break with a small lead. Enter Ivan Novosel, as the Saints Foward ripped apart the game in the 3rd term netting 5 goals. He was well fed by the onball brigade of Rob O'Gorman and Lachlan Kennett as the Saints opened up a handy lead for the last break. With the game in the bag, the Saints cruised to a 39 point win, pleasing the past players who had travelled from Nation wide for the Day. Lance Long and Michael Draper had their best games for the Saints in defence while Novosel was awarded the Greg Sutton Medal (Awarded by the past players on a 3-2-1 Basis) as best player on Past Players Day. The Saints face a big test this week at Webb Oval against Glenunga as they take on a fellow Top 3 side while the youthful Hawks will no doubt push hard for a final 5 spot this season. As Riddler has touched on, Saints Prez Pete Molloy suffered a Mild Heart Attack while umpiring the B grade on Saturday. In some pleasing news, Molloy has had a successful operation and may be able to leave hospital in a couple of days, and I know Everyone at Mawson Lakes wishes him a speedy recovery.
