Top Marks to SAFC

Postby Squawk » Tue Dec 12, 2006 9:25 pm

Just checked out the Panthers website and top marks go to Phil Herden and the club.

The club has posted some great results off the field and also put together a new electronic publication "the Panther Press Pass". Phil's "defection" to the Panthers is starting to show some very good results IMHO.

The Press Pass is available by link from the SAFC home page, but without stealing any thunder intentionally - full credit is extended to the club here for all their achievements - highlights identified in the Press Pass include:

An operating profit of $567,000
A surplus of $76,000
South won a $50,000 water grant for Noarlunga Oval
Feature articles on South players picked up in today’s rookie draft
The Panther’s Annual Report is published on the club’s website (tabled at the AGM last night)
A pre-season update is given
Major Sponsors announced as being back on board
5 Panthers made the u/18 Tip Top Academy (SANFL – 44 players selected)
A new junior footy manager is announced
The new u/17s coach is announced (David Tiller)
Panthers in the Community article
Membership packages for 2007 are announced including a $5 discount for memberships renewed by 31 December
Upcoming events are publicized

Well done Panthers!

Great, hope to see some of it invested back into facilities for away supporters so they dont have to stand in the mud

I find it intresting to read they got that Water Grant considering its called the Community Water Grants and I wouldn't consider the South Adelaide Football club a community organisation, but well done to them.

What is SAFC main revenue source? Pokies I guess, if so where?

The link works for me mate. Not sure what the answer could be - maybe someone in the IT room could help you out?
