Round 7 - Norwood v Adelaide @ Coopers Stadium (Fri N 16/5)
The Redlegs season is starting to slip away now following a near on seven goal loss to the in-form Panthers and they will no doubt be pleased they have drawn the Crows Reserves this weekend. With Adelaide playing guys in their League side that were struggling to make their Under 18's side a few weeks ago, it is always going to look like boys against men...
Adelaide will be strengthened by those that don't play AFL the night before against Collingwood but Norwood probably still start favourites...

I'm assuming Fester is going to tip his Legs by 40 points?

Can't believe I'm talking about the Crows like they're a real team, but we'll take 2 points from anywhere at the moment:
Crows could actually match up well (for them) on Norwood, as the Crows' defence looks pretty weak and porous (only Glenelg has let more goals in), but Norwood has (statistically) the worst attack in the league in 2014. At the other end, the Crows at least kick goals, having the most prolific attack of the sides outside the 5. (Admittedly, that rosy picture relies in part on Taylor Walker's 2-week cameo.)
Norwood have lost Chippendale to a knee injury (of some sort) and are likely to lose Jefferies to suspension, from last week's side.
On the other side of the ledger, Callinan and Porplyzia are both chances to resume from injury. Lewis Johnston has never even made it to Adelaide's injury list despite missing last week, with the reason for withdrawal amusingly being described in the Crows' SANFL wrap as "suffering a finger injury at training" (cue the 'yeah, he didn't pull it out' jokes). Presumably he'll be back. Tex Walker's return to the Adelaide AFL side will plug the hole left by Lynch, meaning no-one needs to be taken from their SANFL 21 to cover him. Jaensch will still need to be replaced, though. If Adelaide can play 2 or 3 AFL emergencies who may have been held back if the AFL side had played any time other than Thursday night, that will also be a big boost. As Port Adelaide have proved, once you get beyond a certain critical mass of AFL-experienced players in your SANFL side, it can start to look like a different side.
Would not put this one beyond the Crows if they get lucky at selection and can get a run-on. And, most of all, if Norwood's goalscorers still don't kick straight.

Think Douglas returns for the Crows so Griggy might be lining up against us too

Injured his hand at training and needs surgery to repair a tendon.

Seriously the crows are the dumbest barstards when it comes to their young players like Grigg. Always bouncing from the AFL as a sub to back in the SANFL side. Might as well send him back to Norwood as we made him good.
As for the game we need this bad. Grigg in for them is big as I rate him. Johnson out for them is huge.

It's looking like it might be the weakest crows side this year - pity.

Um no... last week's side was their weakest. Into their side this week at least Reilly, Petrenko, Shaw, Grigg. All replacing top ups.

Think I'll have some fun with Reilly this week.
Really hope Trigg is there as well.

Anyway back to the game, I think this will be a stronger Adelaide team than last week. Although I dont rate Reilly or Petrenko at AFL level at SANFL level I reckon they will be good inclusions. Also add to the fact that Grigg is back due to Adelaide being spastic at developing the young players.

Nigel was at the Westies game at Richmond. Didn't see Triggy there, though?

Both teams look to have some exploitable weaknesses, will be whoever can do that to their opponent wins the game
