Norwood went from 8th at the start of the weekend, to 3rd at the end of it. That kind of leap would be totally unremarkable after round 2, but for round 7, that takes not just an awesome result by the winning side, but also some real cooperation by almost every other team in the competition.
Is this the largest one-round jump this far into the season, in SANFL history?*
And more generally, have there been any improbable and huge last-minute jumps at the death of the minor round in SANFL history (or that part of SANFL history where finals have been played), e.g. a club coming from 6th at the start of the last round to grab the double chance, or a team coming from 7th to make the finals?
* In asking this, I do acknowledge that there's a minor cheat on for the contemporary age, because the bye over the last 20 years makes it easier for clubs to take a big leap.
