Hamley got off to a flyer with virginia missing goals and not getting clean ball movement which cost them lucky for virginia greenwood went down with a hammy so that freed up young who then went in the middle and changed the whole game if virginia had had been a bit closer they could have won but once thier ruckman went down it was going to be very hard, was haseldine injured looked a bit ginger on a few occasions, seen he was put down back on big nik which was a good move by Red standouts for hamley Hanson and Thach virginia standouts were young and johnston, in closing very ordinary umpiring as well the guy with the hat needs to have a good hard look at the rule book
Agreed it was a cracker of a match Tah. Don't worry about the listed best for Hamley - all those blokes were good, but Valor Thach BOG on the day by a fair margin. Only issue I saw for Hamley was they got touched up in clearances - particularly in the centre. May be fixed when Armstrong comes back in. Have to agree with you on that particular umpire. First time I've seen a "chopping of the arms" paid in country footy and a couple other free kicks seemed to come out of nowhere. Ah well, he can only improve.
we lost clearances when hebs went out of the ruck . there was no back up ruckman poor Ashley natt had to fill in. and while natty was an excellent target up forward ahe clearly is not a ruckman
I reckon if he gave up his pies he might be able to jump higher
