Who would've thought winning a couple of grand could bring so much angst.
If the worst thing people have to complain about is how they might spend the money then life must be ok.
Word even travelled all the way down to Central United and upset someone there too. Classic.
For gods sake no one spill any milk......

Waste of a good talent playing in that standard of footy, ahh well good luck to the guy, must be something that has gone down for him to leave at this stage of the season, maybe money was a factor, couldnt give him enough coin to satisfy the man?

And then there was one. Only S Baker left from the fab four. And even he wanted out at the start of the year, with only a contract holding him at the brooks.
Haven't seen Campbell in the best players yet, was the money on that he had a good off season up north.

MOHAMMAD - Ill think you will find there is still another Mclean at willaston. Also what's going on with all these star recruits from Freeling just looking in the paper doesn't paint a good picture of them dominating games. Money well spent again out there?

About time McDonald strung some quality games together surely he can now shake his inconsistent tag that he had in the Hills!

McDonald would be willaston's most consistent player this year, i would be slightly more concerned about his partner in crime Gordon he could just well be willaston's most inconsistent player so far this year. They can both play on there day however.

Gordon got nearly all his goals in the last quarter when the game opened up. He needs plenty of room to move, from what i could see he only gets it on the lead, not the type of player to stand and wrestle for a grab. The style of footy in the BL&G is definitely not suited to him, with so much contested footy.
McDonald was fantastic, will go well in this comp.
Pepe, fairly ordinary, drops alot of marks he should swallow.

Has Tribunal sat yet? Should be a willaston B grader getting at least a year bare minimum, if not life!

Anyone keen on a good night out in the Riverland, check out our event link. $150 for 5 hours of finger food beer and cider ( spirits at a small cost) plus 4 hours of live entertainment.
tickets available from AP Hotel Nuri.

Also no footy in Barossa next day, can look at group bookings if required with money going back to your own club.

What a ridiculous statement Sammy! Either you're a dyed in the wool magpie or you're letting their hype get to you. They may be a great team, but your football knowledge is sadly lacking. Have you seen Kapunda play this year?
I doubt it! Hope they make you eat your words.

Hot was only a couple of goals out in my 14 goal prediction.

Some facts

1. Tanunda best team in country football
2. Tanunda best run club off the field
3. Tanunda most financial club in BLG
4. Tanunda lowest points in BLG
5. Tanunda will win 2012 flag and should go through undefeated

Interesting observation that.
What I find intersting is during their past four premierships they have had many changes in key personell:
3x different captains Martin, Schiller, Newberry
3x different presidents Tarca, Harman, Greening
2x Different coaches, Lubke, Britton
Is their success attributed to a well run club or would they have still won these premierships if Fred Flinstone was in charge.
Most other clubs have had more stable key personell over this period.
Maybe a generation of good locals!!!

Total fudge of the figures here, you are only looking at the past 4 seasons and not the years leading up and the possible future years of the current president, coach & captain. If you look at those names over a 6 to 9 year period and possibly more, I think you will find the club would be considered to be very stable.

what a joke, i cant believe they think a barrossa club is one of the less fortunate clubs going around and in need of money to win 10k, the player payments in this comp are a discrace, there are amateur clubs out there that cant pay players and find it hard to even buy new footys or medical equipment and they give it to a club that blows 10s of thousands of dollars on imported footballers... (and not very good ones at that)..

What are you whingeing for?
Surely no one at CU is getting paid to play that crap standard most ressies teams up hear would kick you off the park.
can't believe how much you blg guys rate your own league! yes its better than div 6 saafl, but after watching a few games out at gawler this year i've been pretty disappointed with the standard. No better than div 4 IMO. definetely not as good as you guys talk it up to be.

if we extrapolate the captaincy situation, Newberry will probably retire at seasons end, so another captain will bite the dust.
this could potentially make it 4 captains in six years.
The Ozzie Leske's, Doecke, Baylis and co would have run over hot coals for this sucess. Just a point of envious discussion.

Mav, think you might be a little challenged away from your lego collection.
We played a Div 3 side 4 years ago in a trial and won by 28 goals.
Most sides would be very close in Div 1.
Stop wasting our time with your brown coloured dribble....

Mav what a tosser you are-BLG footy is at least Div 2 standard and Tanunda and Barossa would both make finals in A1.
This year BLG teams either won or pushed Div 1 teams in trials.Sure trials can be misleading but talking with supporters after game they comment on the fact BLG teams would be definetly Div 2 possibly Div 1.
Then talk with players that come from Div 1 to BLG and they also confirm what I have said above. If you want to talk crap please stay in your pathetic Div 4 forum and leave us to admire our great standard in the BLG.

Oh in a trial game? on the same level as a grand final there  Maybe I was just there on a bad day, but I couldnt believe how many handballs missed there targets or were dropped by the receiver and ball movement seemed very slow from each teams back half. Maybe I just had high expectations from how much its talked up on here. It honestly seemed div 4 standard to me. Was perfect weather too.

how many points on offer in trials again? and I dont think I've ever even posted in div 4 forum. I'm not actually involved in a div 4 club and never said I was. but I guess I shouldve spelt that out for someone as simple as you.
