We have a new coach this year Wayne Hughes. He did wonders with Kersbrook last year, so we stole him. hahaha.
no new signings just yet, but i will keep all posted when i know.
Darryl Prosser is taking over the Reserves reins, most opponents will know him as the Fat guy who gets 100 clearances out the middle a game.

Are Wayne Hughes' sons playing at Elizabeth next year or are they staying at Kersbrook under Brett James?

Lee is a pretty good CHF/RR. The other brother is useless (can't even remember his name). Even with Kersbrook's new recruits under Brett James, they will still miss a player like Lee because they didn't have a very big side and he was one of their bigger players. Quite a handy player and you should chase pretty hard.

BJ is the other brother (unless you're talking about the eldest brother Matt - but I don't think he's played footy for a long time). BJ will probly be a ressie.

Lee's a good player and still reasonably young.

Bad news for us. Ben Halliday is going to damn Salisbury North just to see how he goes in a high Div before he gets too old. But he will be coming back one day. He got an offer he couldnt refuse. Big coins.

Carey,

Ben has played for the love of the club at various times in his career. He hasn't been paid to play for Elizabeth, unless you include $20 dollar beer vouchers in 1994 as payment. He came back to the club several years ago to achieve a dream of winning a flag with some close mates and that's been achieved.
Like anyone who has any talent on the footy field he gets plenty of people ringing him up. As he's 30, is newly married and has a limited time left on the footy field, he's entitled to take up an offer. No one at the EFC will begrudge him that opportunity as he's provided plenty for the club on and off the field over the years.
He was not originally an Elizabeth product - he came to the club as a highly skilled 18 year old - and has been an asset his whole time. You won't find a better club man.

His loss however is a big blow, and hopefully the club will be able to find a replacement - but that will be a hard slog.

pity bout that, you'll guys seemed to struggle a fair bit whenever he didnt play last. will be big shoes to fill. we be a dramatically different side without him. hope you can find sum1 at least half as gd to take his spot.

The second sentence in your post would suggest you were also having a dig about him leaving the club for money.

And, if I was too strong in my defence, I probably won't apologise, as Benny is one of my best mates.

But yes, you're right, his loss will be massive for the club.
