Iron Maiden were very good, amazingly clear sound and a great stage show. Slayer and the Murderdolls were the highlights of the metal stage. Slash was ok, crowd was a little flat for them, the GnR songs came across well but no one was too interested in his solo work! Millencolin were great early in the day. Queens of the Stoneage were ok at best, would rather they just played the songs as written not played around with them, and Josh Homme gets the award for worst ever haircut!

Yeah that shits me that, you spend your hard earned on a ticket to see a band because you like what you've heard on their album or the radio and they talk through the song or change the lyrics or break out into a 8 minute guitar solo

Pennywise finish their set (on Stage 3) at 2PM, so I'll wander to the bar straight after that.

I might see you round there Q. I'll be at Stage 3 for most of the day for Less Than Jake, New Found Glory, Millencolin and possibly Sum 41.

Looking forward to this, only have one clash to work around at this stage in The Gaslight Anthem and Slash, will probably watch all of the Anthem and catch the end of Slash. Heard on JJJ this morning that Slash is doing a lot of GnR stuff including Sweet Child and Paradise City.
So many bands Im keen in seeing, but the legends Rob Zombie and Iron Maiden are at the top of my list.
Early forecast is for 30 degrees.
Beer catch up when there's a lull in proceedings (if there is one) perhaps?

Can't wait!

Really keen to catch The gaslight Anthem myself, a mate put me onto them a couple of months back and I do like them.

Yeah I like them, they've been described as Bruce Springsteen on speed, I've spent a bit of money on ITunes on them.

That sucks. The one band I'm most looking forward to seeing could turn out to be the most disappointing
So you've seen everything have you?

Just looked a bit further at your map Q and it looks like I'll have to give up on seeing any of Slash as stages 3 and 1 are the furthest apart, ah well, only 1 clash for me, can't complain.

You will still like them, just the songs are slightly different, but not butchered!

Very good song, look on you tube they sang at the Reading Festival and Bruce Springsteen came out and sang 59 Sound with them, you can see that Brian Fallon looks like an excited little kid to be playing with him.
