I'm after a handicap, I've just brought a 10 round multi-pass for $240 for Nth Adelaide but obviously that doesn't come with one.

Now I get the fact you need to be a club member to get a handicap but it's $230 plus green fees at Nth Adelaide plus or I can get the membership worth $990.

Does anyone have a better option for me to get a handicap with out forking out $990?

As stupid as it sounds I don't really want to be tied to one course either I'd like to play all over the place.

There are a number of social clubs around that you can join where you can get an official handicap.

Try MatteeG and see if he is still involved with the Cove Golf Club or even look up SGA Tour

Yep still involved.

$55 will get you membership with us including a Golflink card/handicap. We have a program for 2014, but feel free to play as many or as few as you like!

Looking forward to having a walk tomorrow.

Only played 9 last week for a 44.
But jagged a few pars and hit 3 cracking wedges from 100 that landed within 2 ft of the hole.

Hoping to repeat those shots and not the wayward drives

If you want to straighten yourself up off the tee and like to use different clubs off the tee, Mt Osmond is for you!

The course is in fantastic condition, fairways and greens in outstanding nick. Greens slick and true, fairways perfect.

Narrow, narrow, narrow off the tee and not many shots played with the ball at foot level. Plenty of undulating fairways to make sure you play to position more than length. Not a long course, but gee you have to be straight.

Disappointing day as far as an industry day goes, only ended up with 5 teams out there. Beers were put on by main competitor so I took full advantage of that, full indeed. Dinner was outstanding and the beers kept flowing. Great day.

Be prepared for a rough ride, unsure of how well they maintain it over the summer but the winter season would have just begun. Green fees should be reasonably cheap.

The Dunes at Port Hughes......

Most sand greens courses would only be weeks into the season and without any decent rain yet you could get anything. No idea which ones have irrigated fairways.

The dunes looks fantastic but I think i'll leave that one until im a more adept golfer and able to appreciate the course more than i would now.
More than likely will have a hit at ardrossan unless it looks like a cows paddock, then I may go elsewhere.

I heard on the radio membership 12 months at Wirrina for $540, if I didn't have 6 months left on my current membership, I would probably get one.

West Lakes ( aka Riverside ) have some pretty good specials on at the moment too.

From memory their 5 day membership was very attractive and I think the one where it was a "round-a-week" was pretty good too.

Also I think we have a waiting list for 7 day memberships. Saturday bookings are very hard to come by these days.

5 day memberships have no rights on weekends so not much good if you work full time Monday to Friday.....

Hey heater, what's a "walk up round" likely to cost?

I live nearby and was thinking about joining either a 5 day membership ( I can usually "see clients" one morning or afternoon a week ) or was thinking about a 9 hole membership for early morning/late afternoon tee off's.

$60 for non members. $35 if you go around with a member. However, I'm currently on the injured list with an ankle reconstruction. Not expected back until June at the earliest....
