Never complained b4 about their rooms but to see what they have created is a farce!!!

We did note the locked room with nothing in it must be the new trophy room ;)

Enjoythegame,
I too will be laughing watching you blokes change in the car park!!! last minor round game!! KARMA IS A BITCH
Won't matter to us, or the result of the game. I guess you are focused on the game if you are too busy complaining about the size of the changeroom. Considering it's almost the same size as M/V, Edwardstown, Brighton and half of the other clubs what is the issue? **** you can be a whinger Shoe Boy. You continually put your club up on a pedestal and put clubs down like Aldinga and Hackham, it's no wonder people don't like you on here.
The issue is their is nothing in the SFL like what we where dished up with on Sat!!!
You blokes run around in your slacks and blazers and believe your setting standards and dish that **** up!!!
So SB what do you reckon the dimensions of the room are? What are the dimensions of your visitors rooms? What are the measurements of the visitors rooms at Brighton, Morphett Vale, Hackham, Flagstaff Hill, Marion and Happy Valley? I would be interested to compare, just to see if you are being a drama queen as usual!

SB's biggest gripe was the lack of a mirror with light bulbs bordering it.

It is a pity those small rooms affected the outcome of the game though... :roll:

Have to be honest lads, it is pretty embarrassing to see what the away change rooms have been reduced to.

I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of other users of the forum as to the quality of away change rooms and warm up areas accross the league. Should make some interesting reading.

My thoughts:

1. Aldinga - fairly good size and facilities. Always good to have a run around in the paddock over the back to warm up;
2. Brighton - also decent size and facilities. If there is no rugby on, it is good to have a kick on the rugby pitch to warm up. If n/a, there is a decent lawned area across the road;
3. Cove - similar to Aldinga but bigger change rooms and a better surface over the back to warm up on (pity about the poxy oval we have to play on though);
4. Edwardstown - pretty crappy. Small area to change in and nowhere to really warm up before game;
5. Hackham - change rooms bit on the small side but lots of area to warm up on before game and good surfaces;
6. Lonsdale - big change rooms and plenty of room to warm up, decent walk from the change rooms to the oval is always fun;
7. Marion - change rooms fairly small but always plenty of room to warm up over the back if no soccer on;
8. Morphett Vale - Pretty crappy. Small rooms and nowhere really left any more to warm up now that they have extended the car park;
9. Noarlunga - Good sized rooms but nowehere really to warm up before game;
10. Port Noarlunga - similar to Noarlunga;
11. Flaggies - See Noarlunga and Porties;
12. MV Park - change rooms pretty small but you can always warm up across the road. Again, pity about the crappy reserve, i mean oval, we are supposed to play games on - absolutely no atmosphere;

I think that's it!

Then why bring it up other than to stir shit?

All clubs/facilities will have their pros and cons.

i.e. Playing at Noarlunga - Pros - top oval and BBQ Cons - you're there.

HH3 - you have got 3 weeks notice to ensure your away facilities are up to SB's standard. Can you also ensure if the weather is cold he is kept warm and has people feeding him grapes while he watches the games throughout the day on his own speacial seat and also make sure he is given the best available car park as we would not want him to be put out to much while cheering on the $hoes

Pressures on. I think we might just allow the shoes to change inside the social club. That way they have heating, bar facilities (for easy access to Gatorade of course), TVs to show vision of previous games to their players, then we might move our beer tent down closer to the oval and put a Lazy Boy in there for shoeboy...

Thanks for the update, lads.

Happy Valley - small but new. Can warm up on the soccer pitch if you want to walk that far and risk the ferals on the hill

Christies - pretty crappy. Nowhere decent to warm up

Reynella - the rooms I get changed in are brilliant. ;)

Lonsdale on the weekend was pretty good. Not having to fight for a shower was great, the fact that the showers ONLY have hot water, no cold, was also great (except one of our players complained it was TOO HOT :lol: ) The only thing i can think of thats not great there is the tiny seats...i think they should convert the gym into their clubrooms...maybe move the oval more center to where it is now...would be a great place to play footy i think...

Are we getting a bit precious about warm up areas. SANFL grounds don't get that luxury. In my day you walked in the changerooms a half hour before game time. Got your guernsey, had a joke with your teammates, half listened to the coach, gathered in a huddle, went ra, ra, ra for 30 seconds and ran out on the ground. Your oppostion did the same so it was a level playing field for all.

Having said that, have also seen Reynella first hand and I think the biggest shock is how much its changed. For those still unsure, the rooms are still a rectangle but going the other direction and alot smaller. The storage and weights cage is gone and replaced by a floor to celing wall that presumably has a new weights room behind it. But get this. They have also installed a new ice bath room with stainless steel stand up baths and an ice machine along with decked seating similar to a Sauna.

If this is what Earl has requested I would like to know if the Committee was unaminously happy about the expense. As I mentioned previously with the Semple issue, are certain coaches getting a bit carried away with their own importance and what level they are coaching. Its alright for a coach to get his $10K plus but everyone else is a volunteer. And don't start me on the black slacks !!!

Maybe Earl sees alot more AFL these days with his new 50 inch LED TEAC, but clubs like Reynella would be better using their money or council funding on doing something about their shocking driveway around the oval. Yet again, it was a potholed quagmire on the weekend.
