Just noticed that Noarlunga kicked 4.1 in the first term against Reynella, but then only managed to kick 1 more goal for the entire match, including not scoring anything at all in the second and third terms...

What happened there, did they get complacent with a good start against a good side? Or did Reynella start playing after quarter time?

The small changerooms ensured they were only warmed up enough for one quarter. ;)

We kicked to the favorable end in the first quater and at half time we where 5 goals a piece,we expected to kick a couple in front in the 3rd but to Reynellas credit they played the better footy.

No excuses just beaten by a better side.

How could you have 5 goals at half time if you kicked 4 in the first quarter and didn't get another one until the last quarter?

Down the Hill wrote:Are we getting a bit precious about warm up areas. SANFL grounds don't get that luxury. In my day you walked in the changerooms a half hour before game time. Got your guernsey, had a joke with your teammates, half listened to the coach, gathered in a huddle, went ra, ra, ra for 30 seconds and ran out on the ground. Your oppostion did the same so it was a level playing field for all.

Having said that, have also seen Reynella first hand and I think the biggest shock is how much its changed. For those still unsure, the rooms are still a rectangle but going the other direction and alot smaller. The storage and weights cage is gone and replaced by a floor to celing wall that presumably has a new weights room behind it. But get this. They have also installed a new ice bath room with stainless steel stand up baths and an ice machine along with decked seating similar to a Sauna.

If this is what Earl has requested I would like to know if the Committee was unaminously happy about the expense. As I mentioned previously with the Semple issue, are certain coaches getting a bit carried away with their own importance and what level they are coaching. Its alright for a coach to get his $10K plus but everyone else is a volunteer. And don't start me on the black slacks !!!

Maybe Earl sees alot more AFL these days with his new 50 inch LED TEAC, but clubs like Reynella would be better using their money or council funding on doing something about their shocking driveway around the oval. Yet again, it was a potholed quagmire on the weekend.

DTH,materials supplied by sponsors, and labor done by players (tradesmans) for FREE,The gym and boxing, warm up erea, weights erea is supreme,Ice baths was from raffle money last year, and players put both motions too commitie by the way.Towns and flagstaff are smaller

Great. Now they have time to fix up the facilities for paying customers. With all your over 30 players I would have thought a few blankets and hot water bottles would be more the go for post match rehab. And a hairdresser for Prescott's do.

Under 14 father measured change room dimensions 3.6m wide x 7.8m long. I believe this was the total area, what about the medical area,is this a health and safety concern,Is there a minimum required area set by the SFL ? :?
Not a bitch these are just questions and SB whats good for the goose on the return fixture!

looking on a few different forums & competitions the topic of conversation it either talking about how bad facilities are OR how bad the ovals are. Looks like the problem extends far from SFL...
