North have some bloke up by the southern bar who is a HUGE fan of Clinton Alleway and enjoys Cliff Richard music. His name eludes me though. ;)

Ok, here's a question which always bugged me for as long as I can remember.

Does anybody here know who lived in the house in Flinders Street Kent Town that had all the Norwood Paraphanalia out the front?

And what about the place on South Road, somewhere near the Port Road intersection, that had the South street sign in its front window.

It's a vivid memory of my childhood of sitting in traffic at that stop (near the train lines) and seeing that sign, possibly with a blue and white painted garage door.

Yep-that would be Alex  Loves to fill in the scorers in his Budget, loves to chat to Soders when Sturt have the telecast (Soders always has time for Alex) and loves to sit/stand next to the ladies
He is an institution at Unley and always provides amusement as he yells 'one point, one point"-and he is really pleased with himself if he is correct!

I get very upset when I hear opposition supporters bag him,as I would if I heard anyone criticize any mentally challenged person-remember-"there but for the Grace of God go I".

A couple of years ago Sandy Nelson donated several articles of Sturt supporter gear to Alex-he was SO proud of his new duds. Well done Sandy

One of my first SANFL memories was days at Norwood Oval and watching the antics of Brian, use to love how he would run out on the ground at the breaks and give the umpires a serve, he was the only one allowed onto the oval, sometimes I remember being near him and if Norwood were getting a hard time with the umps, all the fans around him would encourage him to run out and give it to the umps and give him a great cheer when he returned. Great days.

There is actually a placque on the Eastern wing of Norwood Oval, just in front of the school fence and slightly to the scoreboard end of centre wing. It is dedicated to Brian Prestwood and closely marks the spot where he sat. IIRC he liked to sit on the boundary fence rather than lean on the school fence, but hey, he's got a placque and few others do!

There is another memorial on Coopers Hill dedicated to former player Lee Blake, who died of cancer in his twenties about 2 years ago now.

Outside the ground along the footpath along the Parade, parallel to the memorial gardens, are three more placques dedicated to JJ Woods, and two others who's names escape me right now, but who all had an integral role in the foundation of the football club.
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

That's the place just north of Torrens Road, on the eastern side of South Road. Dad has told me who lived there, but can't remember names at the moment. It also had Crows colours there, too.

Might be Vinny I think (not sure if thats his nickname, but obviously dont want to give his name up without permission).

I always thought Brian wore no. 9, might check with the old man and see if he can remember.

Brian, the leader of the Port Adelaide Cheer Squad at Football Park and at most Magpie games too. His house at Rosewater has the Magpie emblem on one side of the house and the Power logo painted on the other.

Corner of James St and Eastbourne Tce Rosewater.

Go to the corner and look at the street view.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

in my line of work, i run into the dear old Aboriginal lady who used to sit behind the goals following glenelg. she would wear her black and gold poncho rain hail or shine.

i have a photo with her at home and will post later.

the first question i asked her was why glenelg. she told me it was because of Kerley. and she has stayed around ever since...

29 my mold man reliably informs me .. I reckon he's right because he always used to tell me it was Kingo's number and that Big Bill had worn it before him.

I think he changed it from time to time. Yes, I recall him with 29, but I also remember him in 2, possibly because of Ron Kneebone's Magarey Medal.

Isn't it Brian at about 1:40 in this clip below in Crows colours???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeJNFKdQUe8

Some great action int his clip from when arguably footy was at its best late 80s early 90s... (most of the vision in this is from '93 I reakon)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
