Half way mark of the year and I thought I'd have a look back to see how my pre-season predictions are shaping up! See comments above

What are people's thoughts on any changes to the ladder between now and end of minor round

Some poor kicking with one lad you would put your house on kicked 1-5 in the 3rd.(not big Matt)

Two in a row missed by Big Matt as well ---- both very gettable, with the second in particular being one he definitely should have kicked. Couldn't believe it, I was starting to think this guy never misses.

He was missing as all the coins in his socks were weighing him down - that's what the Towns supporters were yelling out - from what I saw the game got rather willing after a massive shirt front in the second quarter!

Went to the Morphy Parks vs Emus game last weekend and was disapointed with the Morphy Parks supporter numbers, I reckon the emus faithful outnumbered Moe and his mates.

Also surprised with a couple of the emus best players in the Sunday Mail.

Alot of hype about Reynella, but last time I checked the Bombers were top of the ladder. Our boys will will enjoy the week off and set themselves for a big 3 weeks after the break vs Cove, Townies and Reynella.

down the hill I think knowing the person who you are and you're certainly no fool, deep down u would have to agree that reynella deserve all acknowledgement at this point of the season.they defeated m/vale who were at absolute full strength very easily, you're boys crawled across the line against an extremely depleted m/vale.I think you would support the fact reynella are clearly now the favourites at this point in time.only thing I will add stlill alot of footy and perhaps inclusions to be made.

absolute poppycock !! Before Brighton drop one how can anyone possibly declare Reynella clear favourites !!!
The comparison with Morphett games had no weight as the Emus WEREN'T at full strength against Reynella either. And don't forget Reynella had their chance to beat Brighton but couldn't (the same can be said in reverse about the Bombers of course).
At this stage it has to be EQUAL FAVOURITISM !!!!!!!

That is absolute rubbish.
MV has a B grade that is capable of beating alot of A grade sides around, so the blokes stepping up into the team are more than capable to contribute.
Morphett Vale doesn't know the first thing about having a lack of depth, and being affected by injuries.
No excuses.

Not having played Brighton or Reynella yet, the best teams I rate so far are:
1. Happy Valley
2. Cove
3. Morphett Vale

really its irrelevant who is favourite, reckon MV would be loving it outside the spotlight. Any of the top 7 can win on their day!!! simple.

Just had a thought about a possible "dark horse" for this year's medal ---- Reynella's Shane Smith.
The guy is obviously playing incredible football at the moment

I call it as I see it. He was pretty good back then as well.
Not the only Winefly I respect though --- names like McKeough, Procter and Prescott have been mentioned a few times as well.
