also a premiership ruckman to return in july, well done to all invovled with the big win on the weekend.

Came within a point of Premiers Mallala in Round 6, but is to early to write off the experienced Eagles yet. Especially a club which has won 5 Premierships in the last 9 seasons.

Not that it makes too much difference, but we've only played 7, lost the last 3.

Sorry about that Ace. Big game for your boys on Saturday against the Rams.

Seems to be a breakdown in communications between the Coach and the suspension givers. Players informing the Coach of their injury situation seems to not be adequate.

I think its irrelevant, if they were unable to play Assoc due to injury then the rule is they are unavailable the week after, even if they missed games prior with the same injury. Its been this way for 3-4 years.

If you miss the club game the week before association because you are injured then that is a bona fide injury and its obvious that you are not faking it. I'm not sure who or if anyone has been suspended this year but missing the club game prior to association would surely prevent you from getting a suspension.

you would think so - but we see players being suspended for club games because they could not have played association football BECAUSE OF INJURY. It is a joke, I am just waiting for the punch line !!!!

Have to agree on all counts, lets hope my assumptions are wrong. I not totally sure what the "actual" rule is, but it seem terribly vague, particularly as clubs themselves aren't sure whats going on. Its something that should be clear as day. For something that has such a harsh penalty, its not been handled at all well. I mean clubs should be informed of the suspended players Monday morning after the Assoc game, instead its like theyre leaving it till as late as possible so that nobody has time to appeal it.

Well let's not question it then  - if its been this way for 3 or 4 years then IT HAS BEEN WRONG for 3 or 4 years.

By the logic - a potential association player (picked in the squad) injures himself sometime between selection in the squad and the game, the injury rules him out of club and ASS game. So he HAS to miss the game after the ASS game as well because thats how its been for 3 or 4 years. In the words of MH crap, crap and more crap. It just keeps flowing from HQ.

maybe the clubs shouldnt nominate the injured players for association would that prevent the suspension?

Exactly. How would Hummocks feel if they only found out today that one of their players is suspended considering they pick their teams on Wednesday nights. Most sides would have their teams picked by now and to only find out on Thursday if anyone is suspended is a joke. Anyone know of any definate suspensions yet cause I have no idea if there are in fact any?
