after seeing highlights of an afl game last week & player named stone was wearing glasses & it brought back memories of players from yesteryear wearing glasses...from the quick memory there was....

(apologies for any mis-spelt names)

paul marrett (port)
geoff bleythn (essendon, port, glenelg)
????? bohmm ???(central)


i'm sure there would have been a lot more
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Stephen Boehm

Stephen Kernahan had contact lenses. There was a state game, 1994 v Victoria I think, where he actually lost a lense during a game.

Bob Bradtke (father of Mark) sometimes played in glasses when rucking for the roosters in the late 1960s

Except for one kid in my under-15s team.

He took to wearing goggles.

Opposition players naturally called him Kareem...

Geoffs son Jaryn is one of the alltime greats down at PHOSC.
He won the the medal for Best on Ground in their 1st A1 premiership in 2000.
