That survived until 1997. Below that was the stats - quarter by quarter for kicks, marks and handballs. That lasted until 2000. When the Advertiser changed from broadsheet to tabloid during the 1997/98 off season, it coincided with all AFL games stats being included. I think it also gave the Advertiser the chance to condense the SANFL section to accomodate for this.

The Sunday Mail in 2003 had a liftout for football only. That lasted just that season. Then it was the dogs breakfast you see until now. The Advertiser since 2005 has massive pictures to get rid of print space for the SANFL section. Also, before this, if need be, the ladder was printed on the previous page, separate to the two page SANFL section.

Finally, the Advertiser and Sunday Mail stopped printing the first name initial on the stats a couple of years ago, to end up with the stupid listing of either Kane, Kane or Gowans, Gowans. No-one told you who Ben or Chris was or James and Chris.

Think you may find its duncan draper not Dion!

Plenty of other likely names in the 17's & 19's

Matt James, Matt Morrisy, Ben Moore, Ash Manuel, Scooter Mcade, Selkirk

Must have been a lazy 6.

He didn't slot in best with 6 in a losing team.

Yes that is Shane Fishlock from M/V - also in the bays U19 Luke Ottens, Daniel Flesfader currently playing at Port Noarlunga

Also in South Ressies would it be Brett Gaborit - Morphettville Park and Richard Harrsion - Christies, South U/19 Andrew Osborn - Reynella one of the Clonan's from Reynella

Nah Mattee, that would be Brett's big brother Scott I believe :)

Also see big Ben Marsh & Todd Winstanley in the Westies U19's ... would have been just after they went down there from Flaggies.

Also in South Ressies would it be Brett Gaborit - Morphettville Park and Richard Harrsion - Christies, South U/19 Andrew Osborn - Reynella one of the Clonan's from Reynella[/quote]

The Osbourne that is mentioned is actually Andrew's younger brother and ex Morphett Vale junior Greg, the clonan is Shane who also is originally a Morphett Vale junior before playing briefly(1 season max) for Reynella before moving to South. Not sure about the other clubs but there is alot of ex Morphett Vale players on that article...also Tymonns,Selkirk etc

I'm positive Shane Clonan only played the one year at MV before coming across to Reynella for two or three years and then heading off to South

Flesfader played in an era of many junior superstars down the bay.
They were a great bunch back then - good ole Lenny's tavern cost many the chance to go further!!
Gee that place was great though!!
Oh the memories of the pajama parties ;)
