That about summed it up CT. The first qtr was the difference with the Emus scoring far too easily into a breeze that proved fairly tricky to score into for the rest of the day. And that very early goal into the breeze in the 3rd for the Emu's was another nail. The Bombers controlled the rest of the 3rd qtr but could only get 3 goals back to still trail at 3 qtr time. I was amazed to see Kain Hewitt come into the A grade after Polly retired and I thought Bishop can't be serious. But I have to admit he was very solid in defence yesterday and did not look out of place.

3 3 to 1 4 wasn't really controlling the game in that third quarter DTH. It was more a break even quarter bearing in mind a two to three goal breeze. The first goal to MVFC in the last quarter sealed the game.

Kain Hewitt is a very good footballer who can fill many roles in this MV team, as was evident Saturday.

Hey DTH the rungs on that ladder Down the Hill have got a little wonky? Will the Flies jump over you??

or

was it designed to release the pressure building by being undefeated.

Moprhett Vale looked to be getting back to the Emus of the last 6 years big, strong and aggressive beware the rest. Must be something in the water down that way keep bringing on home grown quality.

From where I watched the game the whole 15 bomber supporters were right behind the guys. didn't see too many Beamers or lattes in the outer

3/4 time, bombers right in it. Dont think the breeze was too strong by then. Maybe the emus are getting a little fitter for the right time of the year. In their losses this year, they have been overrun and looked like they couldnt run out games. Saturday, they looked like a team who is starting to string 4 1/4's together. Brighton have always struggled at wheatsheaf rd, so they wont be devastated, they still deserve to be one of the favourites.

yeah intersting result at Emuland. Can or do you think it will be likely the top 4 changes? thoughts?

BIG incentive to finish top now i would have thought. What's the percentage difference between brighton and reynella?

you would think its out of three now and the emu's almost favourites !

I reckon it'd be better to finish second that top ------ play the Emus while you've got the double chance
He who plays Morphett in the Qually dodges them during the Prelim

I assume with that comment, you are writing off cove for 3rd spot. By 5pm saturday we'll have a better idea of that i guess.

Exactly---- Cove are right where they belong on the 2010 table --- fourth spot.
The Cobras are a powerful side but not as powerful as the top three. Working out their pathway through Septmber is the one easy selection of the finals ----- They'll lose the Qually, win the Semi, and then go out in the Prelim. You can lock them into fourth now.

intersting then... and i think i now agree. big advantage finishing 2nd rather than top?

will the loser (of 2nd vs 3rd) face brighton in the prelim? (if results go as expected of course) is that right?
and the winner will most likely play cove?

very important final if thats the case......

you can't right off cove for an upset either.

Paths cross over for the Prelim, so that the Quallies aren't the same as Prelims.
If all games go with Table positions the following occurs--
Loser of 2nd v. 3rd plays lst in Prelim.
Loser 1st v. 4th plays 2nd.

right.
so, there is no advantage finishing top, if anything its a disadvantage.

Are u serious? You get to play 4th in the first final. You dont play that first final worrying about who you might play in 2 weeks. If you are good enough you have to beat everyone.

yeah what your saying is correct, but i would still rather finish 2nd (in this case only). off course this all means nothing and is just a bit of discussion

Who said anything about "worrying" ---- just pointing out who gets the tougher run.
And Flyers's right, if games go to Table position top side gets the tougher Prelim.

Marion lead nearly all day to go down in the last few minutes. They had their chance in the dying minute with i think no 14 running into an open goal, but got run down about 10 mtrs out. That summed up marions day, someone letting him know a player was coming may have helped. Just an outsiders opinion but more talk and harder running from marions midfield may have made the difference??? Too many christies players running lose in the last qtr. Heartbreaker isn't the word. :(

Full credit to CBFC who came to play football.

We certainly as a team had our chances.

Shattered... angry... devastated... i know people say it's just MFC Vs CBFC but after our year that one hurt.
Especially as the feel around the club is the best it's been all year.

I'm still predicting a Reynella Vs MV GF.
Winner is anyones...
