it will be a good forwrd line they will just have to run around the big unit even though he takes up most of the forward 50....

Thats another blow for the Athelstone F.C - He was a great in & under player.... Can find the ball...
Im sure Nairne will be happy to receive his service's....
Was it money or mates up there or did he have a fall out with the raggies - anyone know why he left.

All the best for the future Socky

Socksy's best mate plays at Nairne. Will be a pretty good player in Hills comp I would think.

Im sure the club realise's the loss of both abell & westergreen is going to hurt them, but the club has good depth coming through the B's & im sure we will be pretty competitive in 2007.

With onballer/ hff /wingman steven coffee & full forward joel brown signed up for next year will be handy,

But you cant replace blokes like abell & westergreen, not just as footballers but as good blokes - All the best to both of you boys.

hope the rags still do well next year sounds like they have a couple of good new recruits there.

have heard from a few sources at the raggies that brown has signed on for 2007. so i guess its true. i know from having played in at one stage and having mates playing at other clubs in div3 that most clubs pay at least a handful of players. heard that chris robertson at the raggies was on $500 a game last season.

Believe me....500 a game is a load of crap...

This should prove to everyone that you can't always believe what you here...

Robbo is a much more genuine bloke than that figure suggests and his heart is really in the Raggies, he did play juniors there.

if its not 500 it would still be a quite substantial figure. the raggies are well known for throwing around the money- even though it has proven not to bring success in the last couple seasons

I love how everyone is under the impression that we 'throw around the money'. It's amazing what people come up with on the grapevine.
