Nah P32 i don't work for the council, but it is amazing what you hear when you are sniffing around looking for the right place to cock your leg.

Just wondering if they have dumped any sand on the oval yet to assist in getting the ground playable for the big clash this Sunday?

Forecast. Sat, showers, windy, 16. Sunday, showers, 13.
The main concern would not be about the playing surface, after all it is footy played in winter. Its going to be a packed house. How many cars do they plan on letting in, because im sure as hell if anyone tries to park on the eastern hill they will end up in the fence at the bottom of the hill. Tow truck drivers could make a lot of money on sunday arvo if they stay close to reynella.

I wonder how Reynella’s Balinese knock off jerseys will hold up in these atrocious conditions??

LMAO

Chalmers: Well, I've got to hand it to you, Seymour: these drab student
coverings have created the perfect distraction-free
environment, thus preparing the children for permanent
positions in tomorrow's mills and processing facilities. Hah!
Best of all, with less than a minute to go before I leave,
absolutely nothing has gone wrong --
[it thunders; rain starts to fall]
Skinner: We -- well, it is starting to rain, but I can hardly be blamed
for that, can I?
[Chalmers begins laughing; Seymour joins in]
Chalmers: Yes, very good.

The grey dye starts to wash out of the children's uniforms, leaving
almost tie-dye colors in its place.

Bart: Wow! Look at all the colors, man!
Lisa: Red, green, yellow, orange! I remember all of these.
Milhouse: I'm freaking out!
Jimbo: Hey: something's coming back to me. Down with homework!
Martin: [dancing, shirtless] And down with uniforms! Yay!
[other children cheer and riot]
Chalmers: [getting hit on the head with balls, etc.] Ow. Ow. Ow! Ow.
Skinner! Why aren't these uniforms colorfast?!

That would be nice and am sure the lads will come to play.

Also big Matty on 98 would be great to see him get the 100 and make him only the second behind Nunny to do so :)

With respect to Golding as a hundred is a hundred.., but I would suggest Nunny's hundred might have come against better overall opposition back then..
How close did Wayne Carlin get early 90s SB ??

As soon as you put a 'But' at the end of a sentence you have basically disregarded what you said previously, so i think your right in saying a 100 is a 100 regardless of time played. Following your point though, whilst Nunny might of been playing better overall opposition, i reckon he would have had better delivery from his teammates back then & probably more frequent as compared to Goldy now...horse's for course's :)

Pardon my grammar...
Replace "but" with "however"
I do see the relevance in your point though..
I guess seeing some results where teams and subsequently key forwards are kicking massive scores, it clouds the quality a bit..
Only my opinion and I reiterate a hundred goals in a season is an outstanding effort ...

So would several other players...

Goldings a good player and a star at SFL Level, but when you get the ball kicked to you that many times throughout the season you would want to kick 100 goals!

IIRC about 5 years back there were about 4 players who kicked 100 well before the season ended! Scheutz (Reynella), Ryan (Cove), Draper (Brighton) and Pollard (Emus) all cracked the ton in that one year i think, perhaps with others also close to the 100?

Would we put it down to improvement of some of the bottom teams, or the retirement of some of the above players that we are seeing less players crack the 100?

I wouldn't knock anyone who kicks a 100 in a season, but he has been matched by others in different grades (refer past pages) and other comps. If he has played all available games (16) his average is 6.1 goals a game. Good but certainly not super star status.

Fair line up that one CT.. is there many other players around that would be able to perform consistantly to knock up 100? sure some teams have improved by personel I think is the key here.

benny mundy will kick a 100 for sure BTP[/quote]

T Express, Yea Benny is a great lad and it would be great to see him hit the 100 and you must take into account the rotation Galbs has where lads miss some games so all get a run so Benny may have hit the 100 by now.

I would debate this actually, in 1986 the quality of the competition was quite similar in reality (just less teams). In 1984 the SFL promoted Kangarilla, Hackham & McLaren Flat - each of whom received regular hidings. by 1986 (Nunny's century year) Kangarilla, the Flat & Happy Valley had improved a bit but Hackham were still getting belted. Hackham & Kangarilla made way the following season for Plympton, Marion, Morphettville Park & div2 premiers O'Sullivan Beach in an expanded 12 team div1.

probably because he is a ruckman first & forward second one would think. Great effort if you ask me, cos most ruckmen struggle to tie their shoe laces, let alone kick 100 goals :D

Lonsdale V Marion - 5 points

Reynella V M/Vale - 14 points

Townies V C/Beach - 6 goals

M/Park V Cove - surprisingly close with Cove to take it out by 4 goals

H/Valley V Noarlunga - Valley has lots of quick on-ballers which in my opinion is where the Shoes struggle. Valley by 10 goals.

Port Noarlunga V Aldinga - 3 points :ympray:

Flaggies V Hackham - 20 goals
