A great start of the final series with some cracker games and great weather for all to enjoy.

Sat at the Shoe seen a great crowd witness why Brighton are flag favorites and from my vantage point are clearly ahead in the lady stakes with some stunners striding from the 4wd's long tall glasses in hand well done girls :)

Yesterday the lads showed the spirit that will win footy games and against our neighbour just made it a bit sweeter.

In finishing I look forward to watching Flaggies belt Valley in the 18's next w/end just to watch a couple of oxygen thief's make fools of themselves!!!

Keep gunning for Junior success you loser, if you're good enough you play as high as you can. What a joke you are.

EG: Darryl Collinson - I guess he shouldn't be playing in the A's either... Should he be held back to play 16's???
Think of the entire club / individual player and not just the age group you take interest in. I'm sure the players are loving the opportunity to challenge themselves at a higher level.
This happens at every club.

If the club thinks he's good enough and the kid wants to play higher what's your problem. It is hard sometimes losing people to higher grades then finals come around but that is the way it goes happens at every club but for the better. noone can force him to play higher.

So what do we all think after week 1 of finals. Must have been a great game at Aldinga. MV have had 2 close losses to Reynella in 3 weeks which surely has taken a physcal toll on both sides.

Bombers grateful for the week off and hope that Noarlunga can throw everything including the kitchen sink at the Emu's this week. Any chance of an upset ?

Are the Valley's a chance of doing what they did last year and sneaking into the last 4. Cove looked a tired crew on Saturday and even though HV have been limping as well, they seem to have a bit more goal scoring power than Cove at the moment.

I'd expect a comment like this to come from someone with the initials JH (DH would be more appropriate)

Just like our U18s this year?

You never had an under 18's, because you never had the numbers. You did have a Coach, Team Manager, and a Junior Football Coordinator [who busted his gut, to help these three jnr grade.] What you did not have was players, 11 in total. 3 left to play in another league, because they could see nothing happening. 1 walked off the field in a trial game at 1/4 time and left without informing any body, and never went back, but he did join the 3. 2 were German exchange student who went home in July. The rest didn't want to train with the squad, they wanted to train with the Seniors, also the rest of the team was going to be made up of the under 16's who would have had to play two games one after the other on the same day. Real fair on these lads. What you also had, was a Football Club Board who didn't care,[wouldnt even advertise in paper for players. etc] until it was to late, once 3 or 4 had put in for a clearance, they [A grade COACH, 1 A grade player, and 1 mate/boardmember], then made frantic phonecalls to kids on old lists, who might play but had work or didnt want to train and couldnt guarantee they could play each week, what a great help that would have been to the Coach/Team Manager and with a League Board that would rather fine you than help you get kids. Yeah!!! It would have been great to be involved with this circus. I could go on but I wont.

I noticed on sportingpulse that Brighton have named 25 players down to have played, is this their attempt of playing funny buggers?
Happy Valley posters, is Tonkins going to be back from the states for next game? Interesting time to go away!!!

No idea who canyouseewhatisee is but his views would be in the absolute minority around the club. If you are good enough, you will play in the higher grade. End of story

This info was available the old website, but since its changed to Sportingpulse its not available online.
I suggest you email the SFL as the Secretary/Manager can access it - sflinc@picknowl.com.au

Before I go to work I want to say sorry to the persons that did not understand what i said. When I helped calderbank in 2008 we did not get any help from the 16/s.

and about that DH JH you should get rid of him thats why so many kids left this year.
If he goes my son will come back with many players that left.

Please keep me out of this, we could have doubled up on sunday against H/V with our u'16 boys that played in the 18's on saturday, but i decided not to. It wouldn't be fair to the other boys who have worked hard and trained all year to miss out. We went with what we had and on the day we weren't good enough. I couldn't be happier seeing young Daryl playing well in the A grade he was promoted from the u'14s 3 years ago and even though he could have played 16's this year he wouldn't be where he is today if he was held back. Hopefully our numbers will increase with the 18's next year and all grades can get a taste of playing in a grand final. Go the Wineflies.

So is the 18s a waste of a players time then should the sfl have the same groupings as the great southern 13,15,17 and if so what is the cut off date for a lad to play in the 17,1/2s

Third time this year Porties # 7 indentified. Refer Madrooster post P.795 and King post P.861.

Yeah have to agree that was a pretty ordinary move, I thought he was almost going to spear him which woul have been very dangerous, instead opting for the WWE body slam!

think the umpire forgot to red card him after the melee and red carded no 33 instead for the cheap shot he threw. and then to see no 7 chase noarlunga no 2 and give up when they got past centre. must have thought the hammies were going to go and then went and hid down in the forward pocket complaining. think he is living in the past and about time the old fella gave it away.good photo of it in the argus this week.
