Doecke, loves it too much and will probably be back.
Stewy White's excellent football life has come to an end, has been an honour Stewy.
Jarred Rathjen, despite looking 57, is only 19, and has a long and prosperous time ahead.

All the best to Stewie White, played on him many a time and IMO he was highly under rated in this competition. Wore you like a glove all day, and made you earn every kick. Never had a bad word to say about anyone also...

Stewy White said he was going to retire 5 years ago, wouldn't be suprised if he fronted up again next year even if it was in the Bs.

Read Mike Teakle's Team of the Year with great interest this morning over a nice cup of coffee and a scone.
F - Kennedy Hahn Kennedy
HF - Spencer Duldig Pech
c - Bignall Newberry Molyneaux
HB - A.Prior Agars Sharp
F - Long M.Prior Martin
R - Wells P.Stelzer Nicholls
I - Harvey Howard Underwood

Emergencies - Kemp, T.Johnson, Christie, Brading, B.Schiller, Bain

Some very unusual picks and some people missed out. My thoughts were:

F - Kennedy Hahn Gogoll
HF - M.Stelzer Duldig Pech
C - Bignall Newberry Molyneaux
HB - Sharp KaeslerAgars
B- Porter A.Prior Martin
R - Wells Spencer Nicholls
I - Greenwood Paget Williams

Emergencies - Walton, Howard, Leske, B.Taylor, M.Taylor, Bayliss

Think Id have Mensforth in there over Gogoll. Kicked 45 goals and played 5 games at CHB whilst Eichner was injured

Mikey had Kingsley in his team. Maybe on ability, but come on Mike, he only played 3 or 4 games(if that) it's the BL&G team of the year, not Ango's team of the year! What real effect did he have on the competition?
I agree, I'd have Mensforth in there too, but what about Brad Valentine?

big question is if Clark Kent will front up next year, or was it a one off to play some footy with diddles this year ? Will the B Train retire, will Decker retire ( he shouldnt because he had a good season this year, and still makes 22 year olds look stupid)
Also will Robbo and Sliding Dawes continue.
Also Stewy White- would have him in my side any day, didnt always get the accolades, but could beat any key forward on his day.
I was also surprised that Valentine and Taylor didnt get a mention in Teaks team of the year. But Im glad that Kempy got his just desserts, great player and great team man. I guess it just shows the number of quality of players in the competition.

2010 barracker team of the year

hahn, kennedy, nicholls
bayliss, commane, newberry
matt underwood, harvey, brading
agars, bennett, schmidt
matt prior, andrew prior, sharp
wells, spencer, matt stelzer

howard, leske, michael taylor, casey thomas

pretty strong line up, personally would have duldig at chf rather than heater. Kicked a shitload more goals and heater missed the last 5 games with injury. also andrew pech in a pocket for billy nicholls, simply best small forward in the comp. But then again i am from ango ;)

Is funny Stewy White is always considered under-rated,
Not sure who under-rated him, Was extremely highly regarded by team mates and coaches,
and would suggest peoples response on here says that he was greatly respected outside the club too.
Perhaps didn't get the accolades as far as association selection went and on the one time he did represent the BL&G
the umpires took a disliking to his subtle hands in the back style.
The great man wouldv'e been in my team of the year in just about every season that I have played with him.
Hope his future on the sidelines is kind to the old timer, and no doubt a 3rd little White scamp will not be far away,
as he tries to fill the void left by football retirement.

Drifter... Sounds as though we should wind up the club.
All welcome to the AFC closing down sale.

Pinch Hitter any word or speculation as to where the Donnybrooks are at with the coaching postion?
Strong word is that Seelander is to be reappointed and the club is just going through formalities of the constitusion.
Interesting to see the % of coaches who keep their jobs after having to reaply.I would think not to many.
Who knows he may even end up at Tanunda.

Tanunda even when not at there best have enough in the tank to get the job done. Would expect them to return to the form they showed early in the year.Just like Centrals Districts knowing when to turn the wick up is all about setting a pace for the season.

Usually at this time of the year Central Districts stallions have been set all year for one outcome-like a Melbourne Cup favorite - but the stallions aren't fit and ready to go this year. They're still hobbling back to match fitness. Times running out and the new horses in their places aren't getting it done anymore at Doggieland. Maybe that could happen over Tanunda way? Well see.

big call about the dogs, only 2 teams have beaten them this yr, and 1 may not even play finals, i wouldn't say there not getting it done anymore personally
