Agree Spot on a great contest by all 42 lads that showed courage in a game where you cant hide.
The same cant be said regarding the performance from the umps!!! All anyone wants is consistancy and in a game where you should just pay the obvious and let the boys play these blokes burnt them!!!
Went both ways, surely with all your talk about "oxygen thiefs" you would be a bit disappointed in how some of your supporters carried on after the match?
HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! #3 & #13 from Morphett Vale have been nominated for the 2011 - Academy Award after their fine display of acting yesterday! Well done fellas, a fine display!

Both put their heads where you don't put your finger nails mirror, you make me laugh. If only u had 1/10 of either's talent.

I hope you are joking. #3 & #13 would have to be the most courageous and fairest players going around. They continually put there heads over the ball and there bodies on the line for there football club. They are only little blokes and they get belted from pillar to post every week. Any free kicks they get are well deserved. Mind you #13 was acting captain for a couple of weeks and did a fine job of that.
EMUS? the rock stars of the outback.
emus are berserk. they run fast, playhard,
and to be honest, we admire their insanity.
A stupid mistake in the first quater was what lost the game for the shoes! Cant believe it even happened. Evidence that 1 50 metre penalty can decide the game. I wonder if what was said to the umpire was even bad - Based on the days umpiring, i reckon the player in question probably just sneezed! SFL umpring = A joke.
Have to agree with old man emu, the Bailey brothers are fantastic players. If you want 2 great examples for young small kids to follow you cant go past these 2 guys. They get front and square at the contest all day and are fearless.
Emus vs Shoes game played in good spirit in terrible conditions. 2 11 to 3 2 would suggest the emus came close to kicking themselves out of the game by poor shooting for goal.
#3 and #13 were rewarded for getting to the ball first and making the play. We've all played against little s**ts you just can't tackle without giving away a free. it just means you have to beat them to the ball.
In reality the best side won, but the Shoes certainly ensured the Emus had to earn it.
So with Cove still in finals are reports that Ando has already signed somewhere else are the boys goingto be playing for the coach this week? Rumblings around the place is the club is in turmoil and that a few boys are looking at leaving at the end of the season and joining a former Cobra who is on the move from the team he played with last year! Obviously it's not the coach that is the problem down there!!
I hear that Cove are talking to Porter about coming back and give him as mich credit for the premiership as they give Ando Wonder how the players would feel about that

Unfortunately DTH i frequent the same drinking holes as a few of your guys, and it would be a long summer having to listen to their premiership stories. No malice intended, just need some pub ammo On another note, I hope the flies win it all as 1977 is a long time between drinks, and it just makes the whole comp more interesting.
